I was lucky enough to receive the Wonder Woman Back Case with Dock from Brando for review. I’m a bit of a nerd and I love accessories to do with Super Heroes and movies, so I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this.

When the case and dock arrived I wasn’t disappointed – the packaging was great (especially if you’re buying as a gift). It showed the case in all it’s glory and the dock, so that you automatically know that the two are supposed to be used together.

I really like the design of the Wonder Woman case – it’s extremely slim and the clear case really helps to highlight the white writing when it’s on my black iPhone. The image of Wonder Woman on the case is bright and quite vintage in style, almost like it’s come straight out of the comic book. Behind the image of Wonder Woman is lots of white comic style text with phrases like ‘Kaboom’ and ‘Take This’, just like from the comic book and TV series.

When I put the case on my phone it snapped on really easily and had the cut-outs for the volume, camera, charging port and silence switch. It didn’t add a lot of bulk to my handset either and felt nice to hold – I felt as though it added a small amount of grip to my handset too, so that’s a definite bonus if you’re a bit clumsy like myself.

The dock that comes with the case is great – I have it on my desk at work now, so I can just pop my phone in it and it secretly lets everyone know that I am Wonder Woman . The dock has Wonder Woman’s logo emblazoned on it and a slot at the back for your phone – it can fit either standing up or on its side, but the dock is designed for your phone to be portrait, so that you can charge it whilst it’s in the dock.

To make charging your phone a bit tidier whilst it’s in the dock, there’s an indent for your cable and a small hole cut out the back, so you can run your cable under the dock and straight into your iPhone. Even better you can dock your iPhone with your case on (something which a number of docks don’t allow), so there’s no faffing and you can simply dock your phone whenever hassle free.

There’s not just Wonder Woman in this range from Brando; there’s also a Superman, Batman or Green Lantern version, so there’s a great choice whichever Superhero you prefer. The docks cost $33.00 and you can also get them from Mobile Fun for £24.95 as part of their iPhone cases range.

I really liked this dock and case set and would definitely recommend it to those who like Superheroes or those who are looking for a last minute xmas present!

If your looking for the ultimate iPhone case this Christmas to add a touch of class you your device then look no further.

The Piel Frama Wallet case for the iPhone 4 & 4S is one of the most elegant cases that I have ever used.

The Wallet is hand made from high end leather and is manufactured in Spain. The case as the name of it suggests doubles up as a wallet and does an excellent job of it.

There are 3 spaces for credit cards hidden under a leather flap and then a see through holder to pop in a picture of your loved ones or even a shopping list. The Wallet has excellent stiching detail which just adds to the design of the case.

All the ports are accessible while your iPhone is in the case so charging/syncing and listening to music should not cause a problem at all.

The Wallet is possible the most elegant case that there and the price of €85 (around £70) is excellent for the high quality, hand made case that you will receive.

The Wallet comes in many different colours to suit pretty much anybodies taste.

Im always having a look around KickStarter to see what great and somethings strange ideas people come up with, but while checking today I found an absolutely great idea.

The Quad Lock is an iPhone mounting system like no other. It allows you to mount your iPhone 4 / 4S is both landscape or portrait modes. It does this by using a custom case and a special moutning system.

The product comes in 2 parts, the mounting system itself and then the case. The case is designed to be an everyday case but has a mounting port on the back, which I personally thing is a great idea as it saves having to change or take the case off you use the mounting bracket. The bracket comes in 2 forms a Quad Lock ST Flat Mount that will mount to any surface by using the supplied stick pad (or it can be screwed to a surface for more permanent placement).

The 2nd form is the Quad Lock Pro Bar Mount that is used to mount your iPhone to a bike and this is what really caught my attention. Most bike mounts mean that you have to remove whatever case your using to use your iPhone as a Sat Nav on your bike but with the Quad Lock you don’t.

The People behind the Quad Mount are the same people that bought us the bottle opener case and they say that they have been working on the Quad Lock since the original iPhone was released.

They are offering several KickStarter backing options to raise the $20,000 that they need to get the Quad Lock to Market.

The first is just $1 which will help the project get underway.

For $25 you will get the Standard Quad Lock Set which includes: Quad Lock iPhone4/S Case, 2 X Quad Lock ST flat mounts. (extra $10 for outside USA, Canada and Australia) RRP: $35

$40 see you get the Early Bird Backer Set which includes: 1 X Quad Lock iPhone4/S Case, 2 X Quad Lock ST flat mounts and 1 X Quad Lock Pro bar mount. (extra $15 shipping outside USA, Canada and Australia). RRP $74.95 Only 200 of these are available.

For the Bike Set that will cost you $50 and includes: 1 X Quad Lock iPhone4/S Case and 1 X Quad Lock Pro bar mount. ( extra $15 shipping outside USA, Canada and Australia) RRP $59.95

Pledging $80 will grab you the Limited Edition Kickstarter Deluxe Pack. Included in this is: 1 X Quad Lock iPhone4/S Case (KS Green), 2 X Quad Lock ST flat mounts and 1 X Quad Lock Pro bar mount (KS Green). This color is exclusive to Kickstarter only and will not be available else where.

If you love the Quad Lock project a lot however you can pledge $1500 and that will get you the releaser pack which includes: 20 X Standard Sets, 20 X Bike Sets and 20 X Deluxe Sets (shipping outside USA, Canada and Australia charged separately).

The great thing about the Quad Lock is that you could have the little mounts all over your home and they wouldn’t get in the way. You could have them at your desk to you can view your iPhone easily , in the kitchen to follow recipes and even in the bedroom to hold your iPhone while you charge it overnight. The Flat Mount will also work in your car to make a great holder so that you can use your iPhone 4 / 4S handsfree.

To pack the Quad Lock Kickstarter project head over here and to learn more about it check out QuadLock.com. The Quad Lock has another 38 days to get the money it needs to be funded.

Personally I can’t wait to see how the project comes along and as soon as they are released we will try and bring you a full review.

A huge thanks to Mobilefun for todays review item. Those who were born around the eighties will remember this very well. This retro case is indeed designed to look like the Nintendo Game Boy, and it does it very well.

The case is a silicon style case, that fits around the edge of the iPhone 4s quite nicely. On the back you have the legendary design detailing the gameplay buttons right down to the speaker vent.

All of the usual features are present, camera cut-out, large opening for dock and speakers and volume rocker easily accessible. The only part that is covered completely is the sleep/wake button.

I do have a few small gripes though. Due to the nature of the surface finish i did find that dust was easily attracted to the case. This is not a huge issue as most other silicon cases are the same.

Now i don’t know if it is just the one i received but on the back where the Game Boy screen sits it is very loose, like an air pocket, so appears saggy as if too big. This could just be present in this particular one but I thought I had to mention it.

This case is going for just £9.95 which is cheap as chips for such an iconic case.

Whether you are after a silicon case or an iPhone 4s Skin Mobilefun has you covered.

As we all know the iPhone 4S is not doing great with battery life at the moment, so one of the only things that you can do is to make sure you have some kind of charging equipment with you. Introducing the Incipio offGRID for the iPhone 4/4S. The offGRID has a 1450 mAh battery inside which gives you about an 80% extra power in your device.

The offGRID has to be on of the slimmest battery cases that there is on the market only adding an extra 5.48mm of bulk to your device. The unit does however make the iPhone 4S a little longer.

The great thing about the offGRID is that you can control when you want to changer your iPhone. Simple hold the button on the front of the offGRID for a few seconds and the case will start to charge the iPhone. Stopping the case from charging the iPhone works in exactly the same way.

As an added bonus the case also comes with a screen protector to help keep your iPhone screen scratch and dust free.

As the offGRID is so light and adds little bulk to your iPhone you can use this case as an everyday case unlike some of the battery cases that are big and bulkily. I have used this case often for full days and my iPhone 4S easily sits comfortably in my jeans pocket while the offGRID is on it.

Click here to view the embedded video.

So see how much charge is left inside the offGRID you just press the same power button that is on the front of the unit. There are 4 blue led indicators to tell you how much charge is left.

4 Lights = 75% – 100% Charge

3 lights = 50% – 74% Charge

2 Lights = 25% – 74% Charge

1 Light = 1% – 25% Charge

The Incipio offGRID gives access to all the iPhone ports and switches apart from the 30 dock cable. This post is replaced by a micro USB port that allows the case and iPhone to be both charged and synced.

Sound quality from the iPhone is excellent and the case does not muffle either the speaker or mic.

The only small problem with the Incipio offGRID is the 3.4mm jack for headphones as this space is small and only a few headphones jacks will fit this case.

We have another case review for you today once again courtesy of MobileFun, so to them a big thanks. Todays case is the Mili Power Spring 4 External Battery case. As you can probably guess from the title this case is designed to extend the battery life of your iPhone 4/4s. In the box you get the case, a charging cable (USB to mini USB) and some brief instructions.

Now normally battery life isn’t such an issue, but when the iPhone 4s was released there was a large number of users reporting very poor battery life which was tracked down to bugs in the location services. This has since been addressed by Apple but if you still want to be on the safe side then this case could be what you are looking for.

Mili themselves brand this case as one of the slimmest external battery cases available measuring in at 18mm, adding only 9mm to the thickness of your iPhone. Mili also claim that this case can DOUBLE the battery life of your device but we will get to that soon. The case itself is hinged at the top to allow you to simply slide your iPhone in easily and then clip the hinged end back over the edge. I had no issues at all with this and the clasp did not open in my pocket once. Below are some images.

I have to say that the case feels really nice in my hand. It does add some bulk and weight to the iPhone but not enough to make it uncomfortable to use. When you first charge up the case it will charge the iPhone fully before charging itself, you can charge the case separately if you want to though.

One issue I did find is one that is actually detailed in the instructions. Due to there being such a deep recess for the camera, when taking a photo using the flash you get a small but noticeable white blur in the bottom right corner of every picture. The simple fix for this is not to use the flash, so not ideal but a small sacrifice.

The level of charge is indicated by 4 blue LED lights on the bottom right hand side, when charging they will flash on and off. During use you can check the remaining charge left by pressing the button. At first it seemed that the case would always be on and charging as my iPhone sat at 100% fully charged for quite some time but then I noticed it stop and the iPhone battery started to be used.

When you get down to a low charge you can simply activate the case by pressing the button, this will start the charging action. As for Mili’s claim that this case doubles the battery life, well, I hit the button on a fully charged case when the iPhone was at 25% and managed to get a 93% charge, more than adequate for getting you out of a tight spot or preventing the loss of a tethered JB. Well done Mili.

Overall the Mili Power Spring 4 is a great way to extend the battery life of your iPhone. I also get the feeling that during a light impact my iPhone 4s would be pretty safe.

As well as battery cases you can also find iPhone 4s gel cases on MobileFun too.

This one is for all you glamour seekers out there who want your iPhone to fit in visually with your lifestyle.

The Case-Mate Bling case is, as the title suggests, total bling! It gives the illusion that the backplate on your iPhone 4/4s is diamond encrusted, and yes it fits the new iPhone 4s.

As with all cases of this type, perfect access is given to all the ports and buttons while still providing a decent amount of protection to your device.

As I said the case adds a fantastic diamond effect to the back of your device, making you stand out in the crowd and will turn plenty of heads. Around the edge covering the aluminium band is clear plastic to emphasise the backplate even more. More images after the break.

All in all this is a great looking case, if you are looking primarily for protection then this case may not be for you but if you just want to accentuate an already great looking device then this is the case for you.

If you are looking for an iPhone 4s hard case then head on over to MobileFun where they have tons of great cases to choose from.

On screen keyboard such as those that the iPad has are not for everybody, some people don’t like not having and feedback on what key they have pressed other just feel its not for them, so when MobileFun offered to send me the Keycase iPad Folio Delux with Bluetooth Keyboard (we’re going to call it the Keycase for short) I thought it was worth a review.

On opening the product you realise that the Keycase is quite a large are and you can instantly see that it will add some bulk to your iPad, this may bother some people, but its on closure inspection and on use that you forget about the size of the case.

The product comes with the case itself and a USB charging lead (and a set of instructions). Pairing the Keycase with the iPad was easy just a press of the bluetooth button on the keyboard and then into the bluetooth setting on the iPad, enter a pin and your done.

The keys on the Keycase are made of a soft silicone material and comes in a one piece design meaning that there are no gabs between the keys. This is great as it makes the keyboard dust and spill resistant.

The keyboard offers main iPad specific buttons such as a Home button to take you back to the Springboard and a Spotlight button to take you to the search page. The Keycase also gives the user full media buttons so you can play, skip and rewind your music without having to go into the iPod app. Also on the keyboard are volume buttons and a mute button.

The Keycase offers 45 hours of use off one single charge but also has a built in auto sleep mode that puts the Keycase to sleep if not in use for 10 minutes – this feature really helps as it stretches the battery length.

The Keycase allows the user to access all the buttons and ports on the iPad while in the case. When the Keycase is closed it is held together with magentas to offer extra protect and to stop your iPad slipping out.

The case itself is made from a plastic material and comes in a black colour, now this may not sound to exciting but this helps keep the Keycase looking professional.

The keyboard in the Keycase is easy to use and really quite. I can defiantly type quicker on it than on the the on-screen keyboard.

This case is really good if you want to use your iPad as more as a netbook. Even though it adds bulk to the iPad its easily fits into a bag. The Keycase costs £39.95 and I think its definitely worth. If a bluetooth keyboard is one the iPad Accessories that you need then make sure you pick up the Keycase.

Since getting the iPhone 4S I have wanted to keep it is perfect condition so the good people over at MobileFun set me over the Case-Mate Barely There 2

The Barely There 2 Case is the predecessor the excellent and super thin Barely There case from Case-Mate. The main difference with the second version is the more stylish looks.

The case is made from a hard ABS plastic which fits snug around the sides of the iPhone 4S. The case is finished in a gun metal with the back supporting a leather carbon fibre insert.

All ports are easily accessible while using the Barely There 2 case due to the large openings for the dock and headphone ports, so using 3rd party accessories should no be a problem.

The case comes with a screen protector which is a great as the case offers little lay on the table design.

The Barely There 2 case feels great in the hand and hard adds any weight our bulk to the stunning iPhone 4S. The rear insert to the case has a good texture to it and stops the case from slipping out of your hand.

The case is designed to fit both the iPhone 4 and the 4S and its able to due this by having a large cut out for the volume buttons and the silence switch. This cut out has a slopped edge to it so that the buttons are easy to get to.

Due to the way the case works its offers minimal protection for the iPhone 4 /4S but will save your phone from scratches, small drops and dirt.

The Barely There 2 case is truly stunning and certain adds an extra professional / executive look to your device. The unit costs £24.95 from MobileFun which personally I think is a goof price for such a high end case and its good that Case-Mate provide a screen protector for the front of the the iPhone.

Have a closer look at the Case-Mate Barely There 2 case in our vid below…

MobileFun are a great company and they do accessories for all types of devices from iPhone 4S skins to Blackberry Bold 9900 Cases so head over there now and pick up your mobile accessory now.

When the iPhone 4 Verizon version came out, case manufacturers had to release two different type of cases. One for the normal worldwide version and one for the Verizon version.

Because the antenna was redesigned, Apple had to push down the silence switch and the volume buttons slightly to allow for the new antenna separation. Well now, the iPhone 4S also has the same design.

This basically means that any cases that require precision cuts on the silence switch and volume buttons will no longer work with the iPhone 4S. However, because the volume buttons have only been lowered slightly compared to the silence switch, any cases that have a fully open side for all three functions should still fit.

A bit of a downer if you have the perfect case and thinking of updating straight away.

Don’t forget, though. Our friends at MobileFun have you covered!

Wonder what else we’ll see! At least we know where to go when the devices are announced!

Ever been after a stylish and unique case for your iPhone 4? Well here is the answer. Thanks to Fusionwerkz.com we have a great product review for you today.

The new Raw case from Fusionwerkz named the Raw MK2 brings great style with a unique design to metal iPhone cases.

The Raw MK2 comes in this spectacular metal tin that is lined with foam to stop from an rattling. On the bottom of the tin is the USA flag and the words “Made in the USA” printed on, and on the top the “FUSIONWERKZ” has stamped into the case.

As soon as I opened the parcel that this came in I thought to myself this must be a high end case for it to come in a case like this.

After opening the tin I was greeted with a screen shield and a soft velvety pouch with “Fusion” printed on, once again making me think – High End.

It was in this velvety pouch that I found the Fusionwerkz Raw MK2 bumper, straight away knowing that this was a metal case I started to look for the small screwdriver that usually unscrews the little screws that hold this type of case together. This is where the Raw MK2 surprised me, the case is a 2 part (front and back) bumper, but there are no screws holding it together. The case is held together tight and I mean tight by 4 small yet powerful magnets, 1 in each corner.

This design is really great as the case is now super easy to remove and you don’t have to carry a small screwdriver around with you if you need to remove the case for any reason.

The bumper comes in 2 colours a gunmetal which I think compliments the iPhone 4 really well and black.

Installing the case is simple, just separate the front and back on the bumper and place the iPhone in the back part and then place the front on making sure the magnets are aligned and hey presto your done.

The bumper as you can see from the picture above has its sides, front and back all open which gives the iPhone a great look. All the ports on the device are accessible with the Raw MK2 on although with some after market headphones and 30 pin dock connectors you may have a problem if they have a thick design to them, using Apple’s own headphone and connector work like a dream though.

You may think that having a metal case may cause problems with the iPhone 4′s signal issues however the good people at Fusionwerkz have lined the inside of the Raw MK2 with flocking that stops this from happening, this flocking also supports the iPhone from rubbing against the bumper.

The Raw MK2 has a great feel to it, its strong yet light weight – only 14 grams / 0.5 ounces. Its made from high end aluminium that has been CNC machined to give it its great look.

The Sleep / Wake button on the iPhone 4 as well as the volume rockers and silence switch are easy to get to so no need to to have extra pointy fingers. The Raw MK2 offers a slight dip in the bumper around these areas once again giving the case an excellent feel.

This is a high end case and it shows it, the unique fastening design makes it stand out from the other cases out there and with your iPhone 4 supporting this bumper you are certain to turn a few heads.

The Raw MK2 is retailing for $54 from the Fusionwerkz website instead of $69, in fact they are offering 20% or more off all their cases so now is the time to head over and grab one, I can guarantee that you will not be disappointed.

We’ve seen many speculations now and even posted that Apple’s upcoming ‘Photostream’ application shows an iPhone that doesn’t look like a current iPhone. Well, according to the design specs that were leaked by MacRumors.com, the iPhone is indeed to be a tiny bit wider and have a bigger screen.

If you have forgotten, the main dimensions of the iPhone 4 are 4.5″ x 2.31″. So this iPhone in the plan is due to be a bit shorter but also a bit wider.

Personally from that plan I like it. I don’t like how round it seems – hated that on the 3GS after a while – but the fact that the top isn’t as stupidly huge anymore and there isn’t much wasted space is brilliant. And a bigger screen is also a bonus.

To compare, MacRumours has got hold of an apparent iPhone 5 case made to these designs and put it on an iPhone 4 to see the size difference.

There are still reports however that there is to be still a 3.5-inch screen like the current iPhone 4. Maybe that is the iPhone “4S” and the 4-inch screen is the iPhone 5? I know which i’d be getting.

We hope (and it is apparent that we will see) that there is an announcement to be made by Apple later this month, however no details for this have been leaked yet. The phone is also rumoured to go on sale either October 7th or October 14th. Or, 7th in the US and 14th in the EU.

Either way – We are still playing guessing games. Wish Apple would just shout out and say “check out this sexy bitch” and get on with it… I want a new phone. I get bored too easily.

Feel the need for and ultra slim and lightweight case for your iPad then look no further because the good people from MobilFun.co.uk have shipped us the Macally BookStand for iPad.

This case is for the first generation iPad but they also do the BookStand for the iPad 2.

The Macally BookStand retails from MobileFun for just £24.99 which is an amazing price and comes in a Gray and Brown design which I have and also a Black version.

The case like I have mentioned is super light weight while still offering full protection the corners, front and back of the iPad.

The case can be used to stand the iPad up in a movie watching style action or lay down for the perfect typing angle.

The whole case is made from a soft fabric with a leather fastening to keep it shut when not needed and also to hold the iPad together when in viewing and typing mode.

The corners of the case are made from a plastic that is used to clip the iPad into place, ensuring the iPad does not fall out when in use.

All the ports are easily accessible when using the Bookstand as well as the volume buttons, sleep/wake button and the speaker and mic. The case has a soft fabric lining to make sure the screen is kept dust and scratch free but also gives the screen a little clean whilst in use.

I have to say that the Macally Bookstand has to be my favourite iPad case that I have used, it offers all the right protection but at the same time is lightweight , making it easy to slide into a bag.

To get yourself one of these case make sure you head over to MobileFun.co.uk right now, they have hundred of iPad Accessories that I’m sure you will love.

Sent to use by our friends over at MobileFun.co.uk the V-Smart iPad Case has a good look to it.

The case clips around the side of the iPad around the 4 corners and also 2 in the middle ensuring that the iPad is held tight in place. When the front cover of the case is over the iPad it also clips on the side making sure that the screen of the iPad is safe from scratches and dirt.

The outer material of the case has a suede type design to it adding to its high end look while the interior of the case is lined with a soft fabric once again keeping the screen away from scratches.

The V-Smart iPad Case case 5 grooves cut out on the inner side so that the iPad can stand at different angles making the case easy to use and see whatever your sitting position.

The case does add a small amount of extra thickness to the iPad, but in my view this is a good thing as its gives the iPad some good protection.

The outer material of the case has been coated to make it both scratching and water resistant which if your iPad gets used anything like it does in my house (3 kids) then this is an excellent additional bonus.

I have been using the V-Smart iPad Case for around a month now am very happy with it. Its a good case to have, providing really good protect from drops and knocks and the soft interior keeping the screen nice and clean.

The V-Smart iPad case retails from MobileFun.co.uk for £24.99 which is a very reasonable price for this style case and comes in a grey colour.

MobileFun not only do iPad case but they have loads of different products ranging from Mobile Phone accessories to iPad 2 Accessories.

The cases offers a great diagonal slide together design with the top and bottom parts coming in different colours. In the box of the case you get the “slide” itself along with a screen protector especially designed for the Ego Slide.

The packaging is a very cool design almost ‘Apple’ with a plain white box offering a see through panel so you can see what you are buying.

The cases truly unique feature is that you are able to buy the tops and bottoms of the case separately so you can mix and match colours for your very own style.

The ‘Slide’ offers up large enough cuts outs for the volume buttons, silence switch and sleep wake button. However if you use some 3rd party 30pin dock connectors and headphones you may find that whey wont fit while using the case.

The camera cut out is of an excellent size, with no flash being reflected back into the lens.

Once again Ego have gone for a very plan type finish to the cases with only adding a small engraved logo onto the back which I feel offers the case a clean and stylish look.

The case comes in more colours than are listable and the ability to buy the parts separately is what is really unique about the ‘Slide’. These coloured parts make the case pop and stand out from the crowd.

The only draw back about the ‘Slide’ is the screen protector side of things. The reason the case comes with its own screen protectors is that any other screen proctor simply will not work with this case. This is due to the way the case is moulded to fit around the side and from on the phone. As soon as the case is but on the phone 3rd party screen protectors lift and peel. The screen protectors that come as part of the ‘Slide’ are of a good quality and are the easiest protectors that I have ever applied. They are also cut so that they do not lift like other protectors.

The case is made from a plastic material with a special coating to that the paint on the case does not peel, this keeps the case’s colour bright and popping.

The case keeps the iPhone 4 thin as with it is fitted to the phone it only adds 2.7mm to the phone’s thickness.

All in all this has to be one of my favourite slider style cases. The Ego Slide has also been given a Red Dot award for its design showing that you are really getting a top end case for your money.

Check out the video review of the case below.

Click here to view the embedded video.

Head over to the Ego Website to grab your ‘Slide’ Case and remember if you buy 2 cases your really getting 4 because of the ability to swap the tops and bottoms!

This is a leaked case image of the next Generation iPhone (iPhone 4S / 5). As you can see the iPhone 4 is on the right and the next gen iPhone is on the left.

The case on the left is more rounded and looks thinner than the iPhone 4, this would work well with rumours that are suggesting that the next gen iPhone will be slimmer and lighter.

Yesterday we did a post on a case design that our friends over at MobileFun were sent, and this case pictured above looks to be the same type of design.

One big thing about both of these cases are that they seem to be more iPod Touch design than iPhone. Im sure all will be revealed in the next few months.

Our friends over at MobileFun.co.uk has just dropped a very interesting post that seems to show a design document for a case on the iPhone 5.

A CAD design of an iPhone 5 case by a Chinese Manufacturer

The post reveals that the iPhone 5 will be designed in the same kind of way as the iPod Touch. Curved sides and a wider screen being the main points. The above CAD design also seems to note that the home button is to be wider, this is apparently to become a touch sensitive button instead. Interesting!

A mockup of an iPhone case from another manufacturer

Interestingly it looks exactly like an iPod Touch case. And I don’t know how reliable the sources are. Below is what MobileFun have written up on their findings.

Display

Starting with the front of the phone, we can see that the screen size has been extended considerably, from 3.5 inches to 4, although the overall size of the phone has remained the same. This has been accomplished by shrinking the bezel such that no space is wasted; the display stretches from edge to edge, and the top and bottom bezels have been considerably reduced in size as well.

It’s possible this ties into a patent filed by Apple a few months ago, which suggests that the extra space will be used for on-screen indicators and controls. These indicators could then be hidden, à la Lion’s full screen apps, to maximuse screen space for applications like 1080p video playback.

Form Factor

Another interesting point is the curvature of the iPhone 5. After going with a squared construction on the iPhone 4, Apple seem to have reverted to their curvaceous ways. The iPhone 5′s rear panel curves gently back around its edges, much like the iPhone 3G.

This likely means that the back will be metal, and could serve as a replacement for the iPhone 4′s unique side antennae which seemed revolutionary at the time, but caused so much trouble with call droppage last year.

On the other hand, Apple does have the capability to produce curved glass, after its purchase of a few hundred glass cutting machines, which were said to be too expensive for manufacturers. Curved glass doesn’t appear to be being used on the front display, but could very well make up the back.

The case shown in the design document does include a gap for the Apple logo; this may lend credence to rumours that thelogo itself will serve as the iPhone 5′s attenae. This feature isn’t present on the second image however, so it may simply be a design choice between the two case manufacturers rather than a technical requirement.

Controls

Steve Jobs originally intended for the iPhone to be buttonless, but found he couldn’t quite get away with it. It looks like he’s some way closer to that goal with the iPhone 5; the physical home screen button has been replaced with a touch-sensitive ovaloid area which takes up the middle half of the bottom border. This area might be used for unique multi-touch gestures, given its increased size.

Another big difference is the placement of the side buttons; according to the design document these are now placed on the opposite side of the phone. The lock toggle is therefore quite close to the camera, but the volume buttons have moved much further down the phone, sitting just below the halfway point. It’s possible that these, and the lock button on the top, have been changed to be touch-sensitive rather than being physical buttons.

Conclusion

In a lot of ways the iPhone 4 was a mixed success for Apple, with a few design decisions representing a step backwards for the brand. This rethink of the iPhone design looks to combine the best features of the iPhone 4, some touches from iPhones gone past, and a trainload of exciting new developments. The iPhone 5 is rumoured to launch later this year, so soon we’ll see what Apple has wrought.

The idea of the logo itself being the antenna is a welcome. Although knowing the Apple media these days who want to find as much as they can wrong with the devices, someone will say “if you put your hand over the apple logo you will lose signal” …. *sigh*.

We have all seen loads and load of different cases that allow you to wear your iPhone / iPod touch, some allow you to wear them on your arm, some use a belt clip and then other us a holster design. One thing that all of these have in common is that they are bulky and are not get to look at.

Well here is a new case that truly does allow you to wear your iPhone.

The Move is a new case that is being set up on KickStarter.

The Move is a case that allows you to actually wear your iPhone, think in the way that Buzz Lightyear wears that device on his wrist to talk to Star Command but only cooler.

This project is looking for $25,000 to get The Move up into production, the team behind the move are allowing various pledge ranges: £2 will get you a Thankyou for pledging, $25 will get you a Move when its released, $45 will get you 2 Move cases, $95 will get you a 3D Printed Prototype when they get to the $25K mark plus 3 Move cases after production and a big $150 will get you a 3D Printed Prototype when they get to the $25K mark plus 4 Move cases plus a Limited edition Green Move.

The team behind the move have reached $3606 towards their $25K goal (14% of the way there) and still have 28 days left for you to pledge.

So how does The Move work, no not by glue, velcro or even some strange witchcraft. It works on tension, by simply placing The Move under your clothing and then pushing your iPhone on top of your clothing and into the case everything stays where it is, clever isn’t it.

There are many different ways that a case like this would come in useful, such as out running and being able to record handsfree, or even talk handsfree.

But I think the best thing to do with The Move is to wear it in the chest of your T-Shirt and use one of those apps that re-creates those LED scrolling message signs. How Retro.

Head over the the The Move KickStarter page to find out more about the project.

So as you know we also like to give you a review of the best products out there and yet again the great people over at MobileFun have sent us another great case to review.

MobileFun has some great iPhone 4 accessories including cases, speakers, cable and loads more. This time they sent us over the V-Smart Metal Bumper for the iPhone 4.

Now if you like the ElementCases then the V-Smart Metal Bumper will be right up your street. The only really difference between the 2 is the price.

The ElementCASE Vapor 4 retails for £59.99 and the higher end ElementCASE’s retail for around £100 yet the V-Smart Metal Bumper retails for £24.95, which is a huge saving for a product that is real similar.

The V-Smart Metal Bumper is made from Aircraft grade aluminium alloy that gives the bumper a strong structure to it, yet still giving it a light weight feel.

The bumper contains 2 small screws at the bottom which hold the bumper together when your iPhone 4 is in it.

The V-Smart Metal Bumper comes with 1 replacement screw (these are small and can easily be lost) and an Allen Key. Also in the pack comes a screen protector and back glass protector, both able to reduce finger prints.

The great thing about the V-Smart Metal Bumper is the amount of different colours that it comes in, you are able to choose from Pink, Black, Gunmetal, Red, Blue, Gold, Purple, Chrome and Silver so there is no problem in finding a bumper to suit you.

Now I have tried a few bumper cases out and this has to be my favourite so far, the V-Smart Metal Bumper makes the iPhone looks classy and gives it that extra something.

All the ports to the iPhone 4 are easily accessible other that the 30 pin dock connector, which will only take the normal Apple sync lead (or something with the standard housing).

The only small problem that I have had with this bumper is a small (and I mean small) drop in signal, now i’m not talking about going from 3G signal to nothing at all but lets say from 5 bars in 3G to 3 3G bars.

So overal I really like this case, it provide a great look to the iPhone 4 and just gives it something a little extra. If you want something similar to the ElementCASE but you just can’t get the money together then make sure you hit up the V-Smart Metal Bumper. So only because of the small drop in signal this bumper gets a 8/10.

For a more in depth look at the V-Smart Metal Bumper check out our YouTube vid below..

Once again the guys over at MobileFun.co.uk have supplied us with another great protective iPhone 4 case.

This times its the GumDrop Drop Series case for the iPhone 4.

The GumDrop retails for £24.95, which personally think thats a good price for a case offering this type of protection.

GumDrop say that the case offers shock absorption, drop protection and hard-core readiness in one package.

The nice thing about the GumDrop Drop Series case is that its got a fairly slim profile if you compared it with something like the Ballistic HC or the Grifin Survivor case.

The GumDrop offers a few layers of protection, the first being a hard internal case. This part of the case completely snaps round the whole of your iPhone and even incorporates its own screen protector.

The next part of the case is what is going to really protect your iPhone 4 though. The outer part GumDrop is a rubber that overs the back and side of the phone. The great things about this part is that you don’t have to worry about the possibility of the rubber coming off the case, GumDrop have designed the GumDrop Drop Series case so that the rubber clips and moulds to the inner case.

All of the ports of the iPhone 4 are covered with the GumDrop Drop Series case so you don’t have to worry about getting dust and dirt in those places. The covers also help keep water out of those area where the water indicators are.

The GumDrop comes with 2 screen protectors, the case and also a belt clip that can be used in both portrait and landscape.

The GumDrop Drop Series case is a great protective case and I have to say it has taken the place as being my favourite highly protect case from Ballistic HC due to its slim line look.

The GumDrop Drop Series case comes in 2 colour schemes, Black or Black and Red.

If your looking out for a protect case for your iPhone 4 that will not add to much bulk then this is the case for you. GumDrop also do a number of other cases for the iPhone and also the iPad 2 so make sure you head over to MobileFun.co.uk now.

Something i’ve always wondered and never quite found the answer myself…

Why do we use cases on our iDevices?

I’ve spent a stupid amount of money trying to find a case I like that doesn’t get in the way, keeps the beauty of the device (iPhone 4 in my case) and still looks good itself.
It’s not been a good search.

I’ve had Casemate’s Pixel thing, a Vapour4 bumper (which is my favorite case ever), few other Casemate cases and as much as I liked them, I always found a flaw.

I spend all this money on an iPhone 4 and now i’m spending money on covering it up when there really is no need to. So eventually I scrapped all cases and gone back to running my iPhone naked and let me tell you – It’s bloody awesome.

You see the natural beauty of the device itself. It’s crafted so nicely compared to over phones that feel like they can break far too easy. Why do we cover that up?
We seem to have got into this thing of “I have an iDevice, I need a case to stop it getting scratched”. But if you’re not a numpty, you won’t scratch it. And it is quite resiliant to being scratched itself.

I’ve been running mine naked for a few months now and it has no scratches. It gets covered in fingerprints and dirt but give it a wipe and it’s fine again. And it’s quite shocking that there are no scratches because I always put my phone into jeans, it always gets hit by a zip from my jacket or a metal bit on my jeans and its never got a mark.
I’ve even unplugged my earphones from it but left the connector hanging around in my pocket with my iPhone and even that didn’t scratch it.

I’ve also dropped it a few times, mainly on carpet but I have and there has been no smash no mark nothing broken off.

You also fall in love with how it fits in the hand nicely. It’s not too small and it’s not too big, it just fits right. The buttons are easy to access and find in a pocket and it doesn’t feel like you are holding a brick in your pocket like a lot of cases end up doing.

I have seen one persons iPhone who also runs theirs naked and it had a bit of a scuff around the edge where it got dropped quite high into a chair leg or something. But it’s so small you don’t notice it and lets be honest, nothing will stay perfect forever.

So, I say we should step back from the cases. Give your new device a try without a case. See how it goes. Enjoy it rather than being cautious with it.

Once again the good people over at MobileFun.co.uk have been good enough to send me some more iPhone 4 accessories to review and this time its the Hard Candy ‘CandySlider‘ case for the iPhone 4.

The CandySlider retails for £24.95 and is a great case to use. It has a simple yet elegant design to it that has a soft feel.

As the name of the case suggest it’s a slide on case. Inside the case are some soft runners so that the rear of the iPhone does not get scratched.

The CandySlider supports a full wrap round design so protect the sides and rear of the iPhone. It also has a small lip on the front of the case so if the iPhone is placed screen down, you can be sure that it what pick up any scratches.

The inside rubber stripes not only protect the rear glass of the iPhone but also help the CandySlider provide a snug fit for the phone.

All the ports are accessible while using the case however the 3rd part 30 pin dock connectors may have some problem being used (however the simple slide off bottom over comes this).

The camera cut out on the CandySlider is in the perfect place and the cut out is big enough so that no flash is sucked back into the lens.

The Hard Candy Case comes in 2 colours Red and Back.

Check out our YouTube vid of the case below…

Click here to view the embedded video.

My final rating for the Hard Candy CandySlider is a 4/5. The only thing that lets it down is the small dock connector cut out, other than that its a great case and has become my favourite case from my collection.

Remember that MobileFun.co.uk does loads of iPhone 4 accessories so head over to them now.

Thanks to the the good people over at MobileFun.co.uk we have another product to review for you.

This time they sent over the Jivo Executive Case & Stand for the iPad. The case is made from Brazilian Buffalo Hide and retails for just £29.95.

I’ve used this case for around a month now and its managed to withstand the most intense treatment. I have 2 children, an 8 year old and a 2 year old and I’m lucky if I can get a look in at the iPad with them around. They fight over it, pull it and my 2 year old even slams it to the floor, thanks to the Jivo Executive Case, my iPad is still in one piece.

The case is stunning and it truly deserves to use the word ‘executive’ in the name. I could take my iPad into a meeting and the only reason why people would stop and look would be because of its stylish appearance.

The Jivo Executive Case is both a case and stand like its full name suggests. When the case is open the inside of it has 4 sets of support ridges so it can prop the iPad up. These ridges allow the iPad to be supported at 4 different angles, this allows you to use the iPad in the perfect typing and viewing positions.

The Jivo Executive Case closes shut and is held closed by a press stud, it also supports a band which can be used to wrap the the case for extra protection to stop the case opening but can also be used to wrap round a car headrest so the iPad can be used as screen to watch films on whilst in transit (my kids love doing this).

The Jivo Executive Case allows you to access all of the iPad’s buttons, ports and switches without you having to remove the case.

To stop the iPad from falling out of the case one side of the iPad is held in with a strip of Buffalo Hide whist the other side has 2 corner bands to secure the iPad into place.

The Jivo Executive Case has to be one of the most professional looking cases on the market and for the price of £29.95 its not to be missed. The Jivo Executive Case definitely gets a 5 star rating from me.

If you don’t have an iPad 1st Gen then MobileFun.co.uk has iPhone 4 cases, Kindle cases and iPad 2 Covers plus main other top products for get prices so make sure you head over to them for all your mobile needs

I’ve been lucky enough to have another great product to review for you tech loving iPhone users.

Today’s product comes from the UK based company, Mi Suny, and they were good enough to send me the iPower4 for the iPhone 4.

The case retails at the £69.99 and comes in a Matt Black colour. The case works excellently as a case but also offers the feature of being able to charge your iPhone on the fly also. The iPower4 offers a stunning 2400mAh Lithium Polymer battery which will double the power of your iPhone 4, so you don’t get caught running out of battery anytime soon.

The case comes with a USB to Mini USB retractable cable that allows you to both charge and sync your iPhone 4 while it’s in the case. The iPower4 takes around 6 hours to charge with the USB cable from empty to full.

So with the doubling of battery power the iPower4 offers an extra 315 hrs Standby time, 5.3 hrs Talk time, 45 hrs Music playback, 15 hrs Video playback and 6.5 hrs of Internet surfing.

All this is impressive stuff but if your nowhere near a charger, lets say that your out camping then what the hell are you going to do when the battery in the iPower4 runs out, well this is where the iPower4 comes into its own. The iPower4 offers a solar charger on the back.

Now we all know that solar powered devices are a little hit and miss sometimes, but I have used the iPower4 for a week now and apart from the first charge of the device (an 8hr over night charge) the unit still has around 75% battery power. I’ve used the device every day and I would say that I am a heavy users of my iPhone. In fact from a 9 hour day at work I regularly get home with only about 20% battery left in my iPhone 4. I have therefore used the iPower4 to charge my device in the evenings before plugging my iPhone into charge overnight, the iPower4 has been used to charge my iPhone from about 20% to around 70 -75% each evening.

The iPower4 will not only charge from sun light but will charge from most ambient light sources. There is a small indicator on the back of the device that shines red when it is being charged, the brighter the indicator the better charge it is getting. Charging times for the iPower4 depend on the brightness of the ambient light.

With some battery power cases as soon as you plug your iPhone into them they start charging your device, well this is not the case for the iPower4 and that is a feature that I really like because its not constantly charging your iPhone, it doubles a a nice case. For the iPower4 to start charging your iPhone you have to double click the Power Control button on the back. This button if held down for 5 seconds while in charging mode will then stop the device from charging your iPhone.

The Power Control button will also show you how much charge there is left in the iPower4, by clicking it once the 4 blue indicators to the left of the button will light up indicating how much power is left, if the small blue bar is flashing Mi Suny recommend charging the unit with USB as there is only about 25% power left.

The unit surprisingly does not add much bulk to the iPhone and it only weighs in at 87 grams, So even if you did not want to use it as a case in itself it is light enough and small enough to carry in your bag.

The iPower4 provides a snug fit for your iPhone so you don’t have to worry about your iPhone slipping out the top of the case. Music playback from the case sounds excellent even though the original speakers of the iPhone 4 are covered. All ports apart from the 30 pin connector are accessible, and because the USB cable included allows you to sync your iPhone with iTunes then the 30 pin connector is being covered is not a problem. The case offers a place for a wrist strap to be attached also.

So would I do without the iPower4? Not at all. I have been looking for a battery power case for a while and the Mi Suny iPower4 covers everything I need. Because of the solar panel in the back of the unit I will now never be without power for my iPhone. I will now carry the iPower4 with me where ever I go in my gadget bag (yes that goes everywhere).

The iPower4 gets a 5 star rating from MyGreatiPhone, well it would if we did star ratings but you get the idea. If your are looking for the ultimate charging case look no further, the iPower4 will be the answer to your running out of battery in that time of need problem.

Do you need a strong case for your iPhone 4? Do you work on a building or demolition site or are you even a spy MI5, well thanks to MobileFun.co.uk we have got the case for you.

The Ballistic HC case is the daddy of all cases. It has an awesome FIVE layers of protect to with stand most things that you can throw at it or should that be you throw your iPhone at.

You may be thinking what the HC of the Ballistic HC stands for well its HARD CORE and Ballistic say that HARD CORE protection offers the best drop protection there is.

The Ballistic HC is an iPhone 4 case that comes in 4 parts parts including a belt clip, silicone outer case and front and back parts with the front including a built in screen protector.

The silicone part of the case helps protect your iPhone 4 from shock, and dust. This silicone outer also is used to cover all the ports of your iPhone, including dock, headphone and volume silence switch.

The belt clip that is supplied with the Ballistic HC rotates through 180 degrees and can also be used with or without the silicone outer case.

The internal case is made of hard plastic with a rugged feel to it. This part of the Ballistic HC is the main protect of the case, and it surrounds almost every part of the iPhone 4. No area is the left unprotected by this part of the case and Ballistic has done a great design job behind it. This internal case boasts protect over the screen, home button, sleep / wake button, proximity sensor and ear speaker.

Also you will notice from the picture below that the inside on the internal section of the Ballistic HC has a soft rubber rim to protect the iPhone from shock but also to keep that glass finish of the iPhone 4 scratch free.

The Ballistic HC has the Ballistic logo on the inside of the case but also on the back of the case for all to see what company has made this ultimate protective case.

The silicone part of the case is made from think rubber and like I have said it covers all the ports of the iPhone. It wraps around the hard internal case for extra protection but also gives the case a soft and unslippy feel to it.

The holster part of the Ballistic HC is made from hard plastic to ensure it stands up all the knocks it can take. The Ballistic HC clips into the holster screen side first to add extra protection.

The Ballistic HC is available for £24.95 which is an excellent price for this type of protect. I have been using it for about 2 weeks now and the Ballistic HC sure does feel solid. When it was clipped into the holster I thought that it may come lose and fly out but it way in there good. The only way to remove it is to lift the clip at the top of the holster.

The Ballistic HC does add a bit of bulk to the iPhone 4 but hey… when you what ultimate protection thats the price you pay. This bulk however is not over the top and its feels just nice to hold in the hand.

My final thoughts on the Ballistic HC are that if Jack Bauer from 24 needed a case for his iPhone then this would be the one that he choose. In fact I would go as far to say he would only need this case his iPhone 4 and his gun so save the USA in 24 hours.

So before we give some of these away let me tell you a little about them.

The StuckBuddy is a universal suction cup that will stick to almost anything. Its used mainly to support your mobile device in an upright position for easy viewing, typing or watching movies, but also has a thousand other uses, for example you could us this to hold your iPad to a kitchen cupboard for when you are following that recipe.

The StuckBuddy costs just £4.99, which for how many uses you will get out of it is really cheap.

As you can see from the pics above the more of the StuckBuddy‘s that you use the more uses that they have.

The StuckBuddy‘s will even stick to cases that you may have for your mobile devices, such as iPhone, iPad and Kindle Cover.
The INCIPIO dermaSHOT iPhone 4 Case is made from high density silicone, that provides a strong yet flexible feel to the case. The dermaSHOT offers 2mm of shock absorbing protection which completely wraps around the iPhone 4.

The feel to the case is really soft and almost a velvet texture. The front of the box boasts an ‘anti-slip case’ and I have to say that is exactly what it delivers. With this cases wrapped around your phone you feel 100% better that the iPhone 4 is just not going to fly out of your hand.

The case comes with a screen protector, squeegee and cleaning cloth with the INCIPIO on it.

The dermaSHOT is a very plan looking case but that is not at all a bad thing, its almost stealth looking, with the only other feature being the INCIPIO logo on the back of the case.

The dermaSHOT has all the necessary cut out for your ports (dock, headphones and volume silence switch), the sleep/wake and the volume rocker switches however are covered by the case.

The cases offers a lip to the front of the screen so that if you lye your phone face down, its not going to get scratched.

The INCIPIO dermaSHOT is available from the MobileFun.co.uk for the excellent price of £15.31, so I suggest you head over there now and buy one. You won’t be disappointed.

First a big thanks to the peeps over at MyGrearStore for sending over the SwitchEasy Colors Case.

The SwitchEasy Colors case comes in 13 colours: Stealth (Black), White, Crimson, Fuchsia, Lime Mican, Saffon, Turquoise, Viola, Baby Blue, Baby Pink, Lilac and Mint. The Colors case retails for $14.99.

The Colors case is made from a soft coated silicone, which has a really good feel in the hand. Although the case is soft and smooth, the iPhone feels secure in the hand while wearing this case.

The 13 colours thats the Colors case come in are truly outstanding, with the colour staying bright even after a couple of weeks use (with most silicone cases they start to fade). Even the white case that I got sent is super white.

Each case somes with 2 screen protectors (excellent quality), Microfibre cleaning cloth, and 2 sets of port plugs (headphone and dock plug)

Its great that SwitchEasy are shipping the Colors case with the screen protector and the plugs as this truly stops the dirt getting into these parts. I thought before using the port plugs that it was just a bit silly but since using them, what ever case I now use I’ll always use port plugs (even if they don’t match the case)

The Colors case has a unique feature that no other case I have seen has, and that is the home button. The Colors Case has a hard ‘Jelly’ home button (see pic below)

At first I thought that I would not like the feel of this but in fact its excellent. To press ‘jelly’ home button feels strong and hardly any pressure has to be put on it for it to do its job. This ‘jelly’ button feels like that it will last forever even it you pressed it a million times a day (I haven’t tried it).

The Colors case offers full protection to the iPhone and as I have mentioned comes with the port plugs and screen protector. The complete back of the phone is covered with only a gap from the camera and flash (camera is NOT effected with using this case). The Sleep/Wake button and also the volume buttons are also covered by the Colors case.

I have to say I have used a few silicone cases and always thought that they felt cheap and took away from the iPhone’s looks, but I can assure you that the Colors case does not do this. In fact if your are looking for a good feeling yet strong and stylish case then the Colors case will be for you.

Head over to MyGearStore.com now and grab yourself one.

We have another great product review for you lovely people today and this time it comes from those cool cats at Proof Cases. I’d like to thank the guys from Proof Cases for sending us The Proof Cliq.

The Cliq is a uniquely designed slider case, I say slider but its not like the other iPhone slider cases that slide together and meet in the middle. The Cliq allows the phone to slide in from the bottom, stopping the cracking and scratching that Apple removed the slider cases from their stores because off.

The Cliq allows your iPhone to slide in from the bottom by having a removable section of the case, once you have slid your phone in then the bottom securely ‘Clicks’ back into place holding your iPhone tightly.

The feel of the Cliq is like no other case that I have used before it has a soft velvet type feel to it that is really nice to hold. The case feels strong and and large in the hand, but not overly bulky, in fact I would go as far as to say that the designers have got this case size perfect.

Its not only how the iPhone 4 slides into the case that makes this stand out from the rest, its the way the iPhone is held in the case. Most cases hold onto the phone by touching the front and back glass but Proof Cases however have decided that this is not the best way. They have gone the along the lines of the Cliq holding on to the silver bezel of the iPhone. They have done this for 2 reasons, the first is to help with the reception problem and the second is that gripping the bezel of the phone is the best way to take any impact.

The Cliq has really great protection for the phone as the screen side of the case has raised edges so that if you lay your iPhone screen side down on a table or other surface then the screen will not get scratched.

Each Cliq case comes with an anti-glare matte screen protector and wiping cloth.

The cases have great access to all the ports, and the sleep / wake button cut out is sloped for easier access, which is a great little feature.

The Cliq retails for $14.99 at the moment from www.proofcases.com and comes in 6 colours, Black, White, Seafoam, True Blue, Shy Pink and Coral. Personally I love the True Blue one.

In my opinion , this is a great case, its cool looking, strong yet soft and is perfectly the right size (not to bulky), so if your looking for a new cases make sure you get over to Proof Cases now.

Thanks to the Guys and Girls over at MyGearStore.com we have another product to review and once again its for the ultimate smartphone, the iPhone 4.

This case has to be one of the thinest cases there is on the market and what is it called I hear you say well its called the SwitchEasy Nude. The Nude case retails for $19.99 and comes in 6 colours: UltraBlack, UltraClear, White, Red, Pink, Lime Purple and Turquoise. They also do a Mirrored version.

The version that MyGearStore.com sent me was the Nude UltraClear, and I have to say I love it, it is up there with my favourite cases of all time.

The Nude is just 1mm thick so does not add any bulk to your iPhone at all, witch is great as the iPhone 4 is a true work of beauty.

The cases themselves are made of a strong GE Lexan PolyCarbonate, which in everyday use is excellent and does not scratch at all. The 1mm thickness is a nice size as it does not add bulk to the phone like I have said but makes the case flexible so it snaps on the iPhone nicely.

One thing I would say though it does not take to being thrown on a hard wood floor well like I did when I dropped it at work the other day and chipped the corner of the Nude slightly (but hay thats what the case is there for to protect the iPhone inside and anyhow who goes around dropping their iPhone all the time)

The Nude is a snap on case and has the SwitchEasy name and logo printed on the side. Each case comes with 2 screen protectors (and applicator) and 2 pairs of headphone and dock connector plugs. I love that SwitchEasy adds these small things to the Nude case, and its those small things that make the case special.

The screen protectors that come with the Nude are second to none, they are easy to fit (and they fit perfectly) and easy to get rid of those fingerprints on the screen. I also love the way that you can not tell that your iPhone is using a screen protector unlike some others.

So what are my final thoughts on the SwitchEasy Nude Case, well if you are after a case that adds no bulk, is stylish yet simple I would be heading straight for it.

Definitely a 5/5 for the SwitchEasy Nude Case.

Thaks to Jessica over at KL Associates we have another great STM bag to review and this time it comes in the form of the STM Jacket for iPad.

This iPad bag is some seriously nice piece of kit, providing an excellent fit for the iPad.

The bag is made from a water resistant dot nylon material so that when carrying your iPad there is no way that its going to get wet.

The Jacket is an over the shoulder bag but also can be used in the briefcase way of carrying it also. Its lightweight so when carrying it over your shoulder it will not put any strain on your back.

The shoulder straps of the Jacket can be easily removed so that if you prefer to carry it in a briefcase fashion the strap will not get in your way.

The lining to the Jacket is super soft so there is no chance of your iPad getting scratched while its in there. There is also a quick slip pocket on the front of the Jacket for your iPhone or iPod, that is lined in the same super soft fabric to stop these precious gadgets getting scratched also.

The Jacket also have a large rear open pocket that allows you to keep anything else that you may wish to carry around with you such as charging lead, or pad and pens.

There is another pocket on the front of the Jacket, this one however is zipped, so that you can keep more confidential or important items in it such as your purse or wallet or even keys.

Below is the Specs for the Jacket …

main fabric: 600D water resistant dot nylon
laptop space: 7.8 x 9.9 x 0.6in 19.7 x 25.2 x 1.5 cm
external bag: 8 x 11.4 x 1.5in 20.5 x 26.3 x 2.4 cm
weight: 0.4 lbs 0.2 kg

The Jacket retails for around £20 for various stores and is available in 2 colour schemes: Black & Teal / Chocolate and Orange.

I love the design on this case / bag, and think that the design is very professional. With more business people taking on the iPad as their travel computer of choice then this is the carrying method for them.

I would definitely purchase this if you travel with your iPad a lot and wish to keep safe and secure.

The folks over at iVogue.co.uk were kind enough to send me one of their newest cases for the iPhone 4 from their frosted series. First impressions are that it is a really nice looking case and very low profile. Below is their press release;

London, February 16th 2011 – iVogue (www.ivogue.co.uk), the fashion iPhone cases and covers website, has launched a new Frosted iPhone 4 case, giving protection and style to the iPhone 4. Available exclusively from their website for only £6.99

The Frosted iPhone 4 Case is a lightweight, yet strong iPhone case that adds protection and gives it a true sense of style. The high-grade polymer case is strong enough to protect from everyday bumps and scratches whilst remaining light-weight and comfortable to handle.

“This really is the ideal case for anyone after lightweight stylish protection,” commented Tim Wilton owner of iVogue, “and available in eight stunning colours to suit all tastes”.

The Frosted iPhone 4 Case is available in Black, Red, Green, Blue, Orange, Magenta, Purple and Clear. The cases have a vibrant frosted effect making them a perfect iPhone 4 case choice.

I have been using this case for the last week and I have to say it’s very sleek and lightweight. Usually I use a Casemate barely-there case to protect my iPhone, but this case comes extremely close to replacing it. The one thing I don’t like about the barely-there series is the hole in the back. This case does not have a hole and because it is frosted you can still see the Apple logo (If that is important to you of course), and for £6.99 these cases are a true bargain.

Below are a few images showing off the case. It is definitely ranked up there with my favourite cases as I prefer low profile cases that don’t add any bulk to my iPhone.

After watching some reports from CES I have come across a new case technique. I have always enjoyed testing new cases and I think this is the best idea i’ve seen yet. Incipio have created an app called Bespoke. The app allows any iPod touch 4G or iPhone 4 user to create a case for their device.
The app allows you to select a picture (from your photos or you can choose one from Incipio’s selection) and use it for the back of your case.

Then all you have to do is select a picture drag it over the case and you are done the process costs $24.99 and the outcome’s so far have been positive.

To find out how my case turns out, check the website frequently for the article.

Have you been trying to find the perfect case, but you just cant find it? Well I think I’ve found one that’s just about perfect. The iSkin Vibes for the iPod Touch, or iSkin Solo for the iPhone 3G/3G[S].

To me it’s pretty much a cross between a crystal case and a silicone case. It has the smooth surface like a crystal case, so you can easily slip it into your pocket. But it also has a bit of grip so it won’t slip out of your hand. It is also flexible like a silicone case. It has a tight fit so it won’t come off.

In my opinion it is one of the best cases ever. Because of it’s material and and other things. For example, it’s virtually scratch proof! I’ve had my iSkin Touch Vibes since mid September and there’s not even a single scratch mark on it! It’s also very shock resistant and is dust proof though sometimes a little dust or what not can get under the front of the cover, but that can easily be wiped.

The design is pretty much flawless though there are a few flaws. The dock connector can be a bit hard to connect as you need to lift up a small bit of the case as it is a bit long, this may only apply for the iPod Touch version though. Also for headphones with a large bit where the 3.5mm jack is, the headphones can be a little hard to fit in if your connector has a big end, but the new Apple earphones with the thin bit at the end are perfectly fine. Also the buttons are a little hard to press, but aren’t that much harder than with the case off.

Here are the links to the product pages on the iSkin website:

First of all I would like to say a huge thank you to the guys over at Case-Mate for sending us this Hybrid Tough Case to review.

Well now that the thanks are out of the way, lets get down to business – the review.

The Case-Mate Hybrid Tough case is a case like no other, it is made up of 2 parts for extra protection.

First things first, what does it come in and what do we get with it? Well the box is made from a see-through plastic with the Case-Mate logo at the top. You can see straight away what you are buying when you pick this package from the shelf.

When opening the packaging you are greeted with the case and and a little card what explains some of the features of the case, under the card is a little extra surprise. As well as the case you also get a cleaning cloth, screen protector and applicator.

So that’s the “what do I get for my money” here are the bits you really need to know…..

So like I said the case comes in two parts, the first part being a silicone skin that completely wraps round the back and side of the case to absorb impact. This part of the case also helps prevent small particles of dust clinging to the back of the iPhone. This silicone skin has cut outs for the docking port, mic, speaker, silence switch and headphone jack. The power button and volume rockers are covered by the case.

Once this part has been applied, you can then but the outer shell on. This outer shell is made from ABS plastic that is also impact resistant.

The outer shell covers only the back of the iPhone and wraps slightly around the side, this then has cut outs for the silence and volume switches.

The outer case is marked with the Case-Mate name and logo and has a textured feel to it, making it easier to grip.

Another great feature about this case is that the two sections can be mixed and matched to truly show the real you.

Head over to the Case-Mate site to select your colours. There are 9 silicone skin colours to choose from and 8 outer shell colours.

The case costs $29.99 (about £20) and is available from the Case-Mate website.

Overall I truly believe that this is a great case for people that live an active life-style. It does make the iPhone a little thicker, but if you are hiking for example its nice to know that your iPhone is well protected if you accidentally drop it.

Hi Guys and Girls, well last week I kindly got a package through the post from the people over at BioSerie. Now the people over at BioSerie make cases for the iPhone, but these are not just any cases these are made from plants, yes you heard me right I said plants.

So I know your wondering 1 of 2 things, are their cases made of leaves, and do they only come in green.

Well when I say they are made of plants, they are made from a product that comes from plants and that’s the sugars.

The people over at BioSerie think about the environment alot, at these cases are over 90% Ingeo™ biopolymer. The Ingeo™ biopolymer is produced by stripping the sugars from the plants and working a bit of magic.

Not only that but the packaging is also environmentally friendly with the outer box being made of Forest Stewardship Council certified 100% post-consumer recycled paper and the window piece is transparent bioplastic made entirely of Ingeo™ biopolymer also. All these products are all derived from plants and annually renewable natural resources.

So thats the materials of the case so you probably want to see what it looks like, well below are a few pics.

The case has some great design features which include little feet on the front of the case to stop you scratching the screen if you lay your phone down face first.

The back of the case is quite smooth and I believe this is the only let down of the case.

The case is really thin and only weighs 14 grams, so makes your phone feel almost naked.

The case comes is Black, White, Green, Orange, Red and Purple and is available from the BioSerie website. The cases cost $34.95 with free international shipping.

These cases are a must and I give them a 4.5 out of 5 for design, price and originality.

To have a better look at the cases watch our YouTube video below.

For our next case review we have another great offering from Proporta™, which is the Antimicrobial Soft Feel Silicon Case.

As with all the cases from Proporta™, no expense is spared with the packaging. You get the durable and magnetic card like box, that opens like a book to reveal the case inside.

This particular case falls into what I would call the “my favorite type of case” category, by this I mean having a case that still shows off the fact that I have an iPhone, and this case does it brilliantly. To start with it looks amazing, very sleek and professional. It feels just as good in your hand too.

The case is very flexible and fits the Phone 3G/3Gs like a glove, meaning there is no room for the case to slide about in leaving your iPhone nice and snug and secure.

As you can see on the back, you have this stylish looking pattern moulded into the case with the middle part of the pattern having a rough texture to it, providing the grip needed to keep your iPhone from slipping out of your grasp. Featured in the top-middle of the case is of course the Proporta™ logo.

When you flip the case over and have a look inside it, you notice that instead of it being totally black, the whole of the inside is a light gray which offsets the black really well. Because of this, the featured areas like the volume rockers and camera now stand out, showing the gray mixing beautifully with the black.

If you look closely at the inside of this case there is a set of what look like Roman numerals that read; “III/III/MDCCCXLVII”, these translate to the production number of the case.

You can also see two holes featured in the lower half of the case, these act as vents allowing air to get in to the case, stopping it from becoming a suction cup against the glossy black rear housing of your iPhone.

One thing that stands out with this case is the way it covers the featured areas, in most cases, completely. If you take the volume rocker for example, it is completely covered by the case, but works perfectly as if it wasn’t even there. Again you can see the gray blending into the black around the buttons. The power button is also covered completely, leaving only the headphone jack, silent switch and the very base with the speakers and dock open.

I will now hand over to Proporta to give you some very exciting and important news concerning this case:

Proporta Passes SteriTouch Test with Flying Colours
It’s an alarming, but not entirely surprising fact that the filthiest things we encounter on a daily basis are our computer keyboards and our mobile phones. In fact, the average mobile has 25,127 germs per square inch whilst the average toilet seat has just 49. Nice.
To protect you against any nasties you could pick up from your mobile, Proporta has developed a range of Antimicrobial Silicone Cases – and a new report from the good people at SteriTouch, used in the cases, has shown just how effective the Proporta products are. In fact, tests on the cases showed a 99.99% reduction of MRSA and e-coli after 24 hours, which is as close as you can get to just about perfect. As you can see from the graphs below, when you compare the Antimicrobial Case sample with the control, the difference is genuinely remarkable.
So if you want to use your mobile in the safe and secure knowledge that it’s not harboring an invading germ army, then look no further. These Antimicrobial Silicone Cases not only look after your device and keep it safe from scratches, dirt and impact damage, they look after your health too. And that’s a good deal no matter which way you look at it.

So what we have here is a case that not only protects your iPhone, but it also helps to protect YOU from 2 of the most harmful germs of our time. I have been using this case for a week now and it still looks as clean as it did when i opened it, and that is saying something! Any dust that does get on the case simply wipes straight off.

We think this is a great case providing not only protection but the added assurance that you aren’t going to pick up any nasty germs along the way. For this reason we give this case 5/5.

Here at MyGreatiPhone.com, we believe that the best devices on the market, whether it is an iPhone, iPod or even your SatNav, deserve to be protected by the best quality cases on the market. This is why we are proud to be associated with Proporta™, the premier provider of quality cases and accessories for your favourite device.

We will be reviewing some of the best iPhone cases that Proporta™ has to offer, showing you every aspect of each case, making sure you make the right choice when it comes to protecting your precious device.

To start us off, we just received a great case from Proporta™, their Aluminium Lined Leather Case.

Packaging

Immediately you can see that the packaging is very well put together and the attention to detail is incredible, right down to the little rubber tab with the Proporta™ logo on it that you use to pull open the two sides.

The card like packaging is very sturdy and the case itself is featured in a clear plastic box. When you open the seal on the side and pull the box apart, the first thing you notice is that the two sides are magnetic! What a great quirky little design feature, perfect if you need to put the case back in.

You will also see that instead of the usual boring plain cardboard interior you get when opening products of this sort, you get a nice laminated and patterned interior, again showing the Proporta™ logo. This just echo’s the quality you know you are going to get with the actual product itself.

The Case

So on to the case itself. The case is primarily made from real leather, that has a sort of sleek, snake-skin design to it. Displayed on the front as a metallic badge is the brand name, “Proporta”. The white threading around the edges is very good quality and goes around the entire length of the case. Again the attention to detail is shown with the little red fabric label, showing the logo.

On the back you can see there is a hole cut out for the camera so it can still be used while seated in the case. In the center is a screw which holds the aluminium plate in place which covers the whole length of the case minus the hinged area which needs to move, it causes no obstruction at all when putting the case in or taking it out of your pocket.

Design

When you open the case, the quality and design shine out like a beacon. The top flap is covered in a great looking cream leather, with a cut-out showing a strip of brushed metal sporting the brand “Proporta” engraved into it. Hidden in the top flap is a magnetic strip that acts as the “clasp” you would find on most cases similar to this one. This is especially nice as it means that when you take it out of your pocket, there is no extra flap of material with a studded button on to get caught on while on the way out.

The bottom half is lined in a beautifully designed pinstripe material, which is a far cry from the bland plain black lining you would normally see. The section that houses your device is more of a matte effect leather with black stitching. On the inside of this is a black felt material to treat your device with the TLC it deserves.

Fit

This case allows full access to all functional parts of the iPhone such as; headphone jack, volume rocker, silence switch, camera, and speakers/dock while the device is seated inside it, thus keeping your iPhone protected even during use, like all good cases should.

The only minor issue that i can see is that the home button is slightly impeded at the bottom, but not enough to effect full functional use of your iPhone.

All in all, I can still give this case 5/5 for protection, usability and of course outstanding design.

You can visit Proporta at http://www.proporta.com/

You can buy this case here directly (use code MYGREATPHONE for 10% off) or browse though our MyGreatPhone case store. By going through our MyGreatPhone store you will get 10% off any case, that includes cases that are already on sale.

Pong Research introduces a new case with which it should be possible to reduce radiation from your iPhone. Pong does so by guiding radiation to the back of the case. This way your head is subjected to a lower SAR value.

An EWG study concluded that radiation from mobile phones is harmful. Pong claims that radiation may be reduced with their iPhone case: the direct radiation is 85% and the case reduces the overall radiation by 60%.
