[Theme Review] A UINique HD Theme

It’s been a while since I have found a theme that I truly enjoy as I’m not a huge theming fan but today a new theme in Cydia court my attention.

The theme in question is A UINique HD Theme and it can be found on the ModMyi Repo. The theme costs $2.99 and I have to say that it is well worth it.

A UINique HD Theme is developed by subywrex and he says that there are loads of updates to come.

The theme is a complete theme that covers icons, Lockinfo, Messages, Calendar and iPod. This theme is a Retina display theme only for the time being so can only be used on the iPhone 4 and iPod touch 4. Hopefully a non-retina version will be available soon. The developer states that this theme is usable on iOS 4.1 and 4.2.1.

So lets have a closer look at the theme itself.

The theme comes with an Auto-Icon that themes all the stock apps on your device but also any applications that you may get from the App Store. There are also several Cydia apps that have been themed.

The theme comes with a green hint, but the developer states that he he will be adding colour addons at a later date.

The icons in this theme are like nothing that I have seen before and this is what cought my eye, the icons as you can see from the pictures have a square and round look to them, truly unique. They come with a silver bezel round each icon and the icons have a high gloss look to them.

The theme also comes with a number of wallpapers and once installed these can be found in the wallpaper section of the settings app.

Like I said before the theme has a green hint to it but mainly the theme has a very metal look to it. This metal look goes right through the theme from the silver bezel around the icons to the wallpaper to the buttons in the iPod controls

The theme developer says that there is a huge amount of updates to come to the theme including an SBsettings theme to match.

So there you have it, need I say more about UINique HD, I believe the pictures speak for themselves, this is a truly clean theme and think you should all treat yourselves this Christmas and go and buy it.
