Paypal gets updated.
Earlier this week we saw a much awaited update from Paypal.
Paypal updated their basic app to version 2.0 which saw a whole new look and some nice new features
Now I use Paypal alot (mainly for paying for Cydia apps) and the old app was ok for viewing your balance but that was about it.
The new version adds come great features such as:
- Withdrawing funds
- Requesting money
- New look.
Like I have said the app has received not just a face lift but whole re-constructive surgery. Straight from opening and logging into the app you can see the difference.
Once logged into Paypal the app opens to the send money screen that asks for the email or phone number of the address of the person that you wish to send money to.
The next option along the bottom of the screen is to request money and looks very similar to the send money screen.
Now from the pictures above, Paypal have implemented a great new way to send and receive money, and that’s through the new bump feature. Paypal has joined forces with Bumb so by bumping 2 iPhones together you can send money to each other (both parties need the Paypal app for this to work).
The app also shows you to see an overview of your account, from this screen you can see your balances, account history, withdraw funds and change the pin to access the app.
The last screen is a Tools screen. This screen has some really nice features that include working out how much a bill will be once split, collect money from a group of friends at the same time and the function to set a reminder.
This is a great update to an app that is really popular already. The design is really clean and fresh and the new functions are great. Well done Paypal you have done yourselves proud.
