iTunes Remote Gets New Features

Article by on Tuesday, 15 March 2011

Today we have seen an update to Apple’s iTunes Remote App.

The new features in this version include:

Improvements when connecting to iTunes or Apple TV
Addition of a ‘Skip Back’ button when playing Video
Additional stability and performance improvements.

All these things are great and to be honest I can really tell a difference to the improvements to connecting to iTunes part, which is quick and unlike before, the many times that I have tested it tonight, my Remote App always managed to connect.

There is one other thing that Apple has not mentioned in the change log though and thats that the ability that the 2.1.1 update brings to launch visual effects iniTunes from the App.

As you can see the the pic above, there is a new button below the ‘scrub bar’ that looks like a monitor with a spiral in the middle, by tapping this so great visuals immediately appear on your Macs screen.

This is a great new feature to play with so why not head over to the App Store now try it out.
