Take the guesswork out of searching for your Apps via SSH, thanks to AppLinks.

Article by on Tuesday, 31 August 2010

Yet another review of a Cydia App, this time in the form of something that will help out some of you SSH’ers! BUT LET ME ASK YOU ALL A QUESTION FIRST – Have you ever been fumbling around inside your system files, and wondered where you could find the apps folders? Not the generic, stock apps that come on the iDevice, but the AppStore apps, the ones you download? Did you ever want to change anything inside the app, or maybe modify something? (NOT RECOMMENDED unless you know EXACTLY what you’re doing, by the way!) Well, if you’ve ever gone looking, then you know how much of a pain it is to locate those directories. Well, no more! An answer to your prayers is here in the form of a new app available in Cydia called “AppLinks”.You simply download the app, and open it once its installed. Then, you tap on the “Refresh” button, watch as “AppLinks” populates the list, and you’ll get a message as to where you can find all of your app directories! It’s literally that simple. And for the impaired, let me include some screenshots, for your visual pleasure.
