Rumors Arise Surrounding WWDC 2010
The rumors started this week as to when Apple will be holding their WWDC in 2010. The spark that ignited this comes in the form of an unknown booking at San Francisco’s Moscone Center between 06/28/10 and 07/02/10, reserved for a “Corporate Event”.
Blogs across the web are buzzing at this rumor because it would coincide with the 3rd anniversary of the unveiling of the original iPhone 2G back on June 29th 2007.
This booking could be anything, it may not even be anything to do with Apple, but since Apple has a tradition of unveiling new generations of iPhone at around the same time each year, why not at the WWDC 2010?
We may not even see the iPhone refreshed next year? Maybe a different kind of unveiling? Maybe the illusive tablet?
We have already seen O2 lose their exclusivity deal with Apple in the UK, giving rise to deals with Orange and soon Vodafone, so it wouldn’t be too far a stretch of the imagination to believe the talk floating around the rumor mill that Apple may be expanding the worlds iPhone userbase by taking advantage of the end of AT&T’s exclusivity deal and striking a new partnership with Verizon.
All of this, for now, is still speculation. We will keep you posted with any other news and updates, but one thing is for sure, 2010 is going to be a huge year for Apple and we, the army of iPhone fanatics, so stay tuned.
