[Review] QuickLock 2

Hey this is a review on QuickLock a tweak that I found in Cydia a long time ago and wanted to review but never actually got around to doing it!

Now since there is a version that supports iOS4 I decided I would do a review on it!

Ok so basically what QuickLock 2 does is it locks your iDevice right from the springboard page! All you have to do is click the QuickLock icon and it will lock the device!

This is a recent update to the tweak that came out a few weeks ago, before there was just QuickLock, which crashed your springboard if you clicked on it, this only affected devices running on iOS4.0 and 4.0.1, because there was an error using MobileSubstrate, which QuickLock had relied on to do it’s locking!

There was actually a way of getting around this but it was actually a little dangerous and could send the users iDevice into a never ending respring loop! (This actually happened to me and a couple of my friends!)

While this tweak is great for those people who hate clicking the little button on the top of their device, this could be really useful! This could be useful to people who hlocks broken lock button or if it’s a lot harder to push!

I like this tweak but I have one little problem! It acts like an application so in iOS4 it will background itself and place itself in the multitasking bar, it’s a little annoying for me but thats just me you might be different!

Anyway my final rating of this tweak is 5/5 yes a perfect 5, because this just shows you the most simple little mods and addons can make a pretty big difference even if it is really simple!

Also if you are on a device running on 3.1.3 and under just download the normal version of QuickLock! QuickLock 2 is only for devices running 4.0+
