No FB Messenger in UK – Here’s Why!

Article by on Wednesday, 10 August 2011

Yesterday saw the release of the Facebook Messenger App, but there is no sign of it yet in the UK App store. So why not.

Speculation is that the release of the Facebook Messenger App has been put on hold by both Apple and Facebook to prevent further planning of riots that are happening here in the UK.

The riots in the UK have mainly been said to be planned by the use of BBM and Facebook.

Police in the UK are said to be talking with the likes of RIM (Blackberry) to find out which of the rioters have been using BBM to plan which areas of the country to hit.

So far rioting has broke out in London, Birmingham, Manchester, Wolverhampton to name a few.

In my opinion Facebook has made the right move with not launching this App in the UK yet, the last thing we need is more ways for rioters to plan.
