New Exploit Found!

So as you are all aware the iOS 4.1 firmware got released about 3 hours ago, and we told you not to touch it if you liked your freedom, well it seems that you may be able to have iOS 4.1 and your freedom some time soon.

Musclenerd the well know iPhone hacker from the Dev-Team posted this tweet about 15 mins ago…

It seems that this new exploit comes from a different Dev-Team member this time round called pod2g (twitter link). He doesn’t seem to post alot on twitter infact he has 2 tweets in total

There is one draw back though and that is MuscleNerd says that there is still alot to do regarding this Jailbreak until release.

The diference between this and the JailBreakMe exploit from Comex is that this is a Boot Level exploit. A Boot Level exploit is an exploit that works directly on the hardware of the device, this in turn means that Apple must update the hardware itself rather than just the firmware like in the UserLand exploits that Comex used.
