MultiIconMover

Article by on Sunday, 4 October 2009

Since the release of iTunes 9 and the ability to arrange icons straight from your desktop there seems to be a lot of new springboard tweaks in cydia. I’m not usually interested in little gimic things that do little things to your icons but this one really caught my eye – it’s name is MultiIconMover

MultiIconMover is a free app from cydia that allows you to select and move more than 1 icon at a time. Now being allowed to do this really quickens up being able to arrange your springboard into different categories. For instance you could select all your game apps and move them to one page and then all your utility apps and move them to another page.

Below is a few instructions from the developer:

1. Place SpringBoard in icon editing mode (i.e. tap and hold any icon until all icons begin to jitter).

2. Tap the icons that you wish to move; a “checkmark” badge will appear, indicating that the icon is selected (tap again to deselect).

3. Switch to the target page.

4. Press the home button; the selected icons will be moved to the currently-visible page.

5. Press the home button again to exit editing mode.

NOTE: The target page must have space available for the selected icons; if space runs out, any remaining icons will not be moved.

I would say that MultiIconMover is a must have app for anybody that has a busy springboard that they feel then need to clean up.
