iPhone 4S “Yellow Screen” complaints. Deja Vu?

Article by on Tuesday, 18 October 2011

Every flipping time Apple release a new device, people cry foul of the screen having a yellow tint. The release of the iPhone 4S is no exception. I did wonder how long it’d take.

Normally we see complains of the screen having a yellow tint to it or there are blodges of yellow, it varies a lot. It appears to be the case again where a lot of users are seeing a yellow tint to their screen.

My advice? Stick with it. See if it fixes itself. Normally, this happens because the glue is still drying. If the tint does not disappear (remember, you have a year warranty) then OK go and see about getting it replaced at the Apple store.

Weirdly, it does seem to only affect black iPhone 4S’ at the moment. Could just be a coincidence…

Myself? I have a white iPhone 4S and have not noticed this issue. Infact, my screen is much more clear white than the iPhone 4 white was. Comparing them, I see my iPhone 4 has a slight darker tint to it. Not yellow, just, not as white.

Personally, I can’t help but feel people are trying so hard to find a flaw in the latest Apple products. Many are making pointless claims on iPhone 4S’ battery life, Siri, iMessage feature… We’ll cover that in another post.
