Firmware 3.1.3 Released.

Article by on Tuesday, 2 February 2010

Today saw the release of firmware 3.1.3 for iPhone and iPod Touch users.

The new update is not a thrilling one and is only bug fixes as to what can be seen so far.

This update includes:

  • -improves accuracy of reported battery level on iPhone 3GS
  • -resolves issue where 3rd party apps would not launch in some instances
  • -fixes bug that may cause an app to crash when using the Japanese Kana keyboard.

The dev-team has said:

  • PwnageTool and redsn0w are not yet compatible with 3.1.3
  • -There is no estimated release time for compatible tools (please don’t bug us about this).
  • -Any information we have regarding this update will be posted here.

The update on the dev-team website says that redsn0w 0.9.2 works with 3.1.3 for unlock and jailbreak for 2G users if redsn0w is pointed at the 3.1.2 ipsw. Please remember that is is only for 2G users. I personally would not update any idevice until the dev team gives the all clear.

NOTE: This update has killed the current version of Blackra1n.
