AT&T Pre-Order Update for iPhone 4

So today as I was leaving work I decided to stop by the AT&T store to ask a few questions;

Jesse (me): “If I pre-order my iPhone 4, will I receive it on the 24th?”.

AT&T Rep: “You will receive your iPhone 4 on the 25th actually”.

Jesse (me): “And if you pre-order to have it shipped to the store?”

AT&T Rep: “Same, 25th.”
Jesse (me): “So if I don’t pre-order I can come buy one at the store?”

AT&T Rep: “Yes, but we expect the launch to be very successful, so unless your willing to bring some camping gear, we’ll probably be sold out?”

Me: “What time do you open?”

Rep: “7 A.M.”

Me: “Do you know how many iPhone 4′s you’ll be getting in stock?”

Rep: “We don’t get that information.”

At that point I said thank you and said my good bye’s, but then I remember another question I had to confirm (because I had heard some rumors swirling around). I questioned them about a rumor I heard that if you pre-order your iPhone 4, upon activating it you will lose your unlimited data plan. As I expected, this rumor was false. New users chose between 200 mb or 2 GB per month (Fees apply if you exceed these amounts, but I don’t want to get into too much details about the plans). I was really relieved to hear this magical news, which they were really surprised I wanted to keep my unlimited plan. The Rep asked for my phone so she could get usage info. She said “Most users don’t use more than 2GB a Cycle”. Both Reps were surprised to see that I had already used over 3,000 MB of data in this billing cycle with 5 1/2 days left in the cycle. “Yeah, I guess you do want to keep your unlimited plan”. The best part is that I WILL be able to keep my unlimited plan.

There will only be the black model available for iPhone 4 pre-order. The white model will be available later this summer. THIS specific info, I have not confirmed, but was available on the ModMyi website.
