Apple Mistake Costs Buyers Their Car Kit?

Article by on Tuesday, 29 September 2009

Tomtom-carkitApple has sent an e-mail to early buyers of the TomTom carkit. Apple gave the impression on their website that the software was included when purchasing the car kit. That turned out to be a mistake as Apple had not confirmed the details with TomTom.

Customers who already pre-orderd the kit have now received an email telling them that their order will be canceled. The email stresses that the software is not included in the price. If customers do not respond, the order will be canceled. What do you do? The 99.95 price is not realistic, considering that a car owner often pays less than 30 euros in stores.
