Always looking for your Remote?

Article by on Tuesday, 5 January 2010

Do you find yourself always looking for a remote in your house whether it be your DVD, TV or Cable? Well now there is an answer to never loosing them again. Welcome the L5 remote.

The L5 remote turns your iPhone/iPod Touch into a universal remote control by using a small piece of extra hardware and a free app from the App Store.

The L5 remote offers the following features:

  • Powerful enough to replace a coffee table full of remotes.
  • Drag and drop to design the remote you want.
  • Keep the buttons you use. Delete the ones you don’t.
  • Quick and easy setup.
  • Intuitive app for iPhone and iPod touch.
  • No batteries, no WiFi, no wall plug needed.
  • 100,000 button/1000 remote capacity.

The L5 remote debuted yesterday at CES in Las Vagas, here is what the L5′s website had to say about their new device:

Developed by L5 Technology, the L5 Remote is comprised of a small hardware device that plugs into an iPhone or iPod touch dock connector and a free app to be available from the iTunes App Store. The L5 Remote offers a quick and easy set-up, using a drag and drop feature so consumers can create their ideal, and personally customized remote control interface. The L5 Remote is priced at MSRP $49.95 and will be available for purchase in February from the L5 Technology web site www.L5remote.com and retailers nationwide.

I for one hope that it will be available also in the UK and if not I might have to import one direct from the USA.
