When opening the envelop I detailed to see that the skin was packaged in another plastic see through envelop along with the invoice to stop it from getting wet in the great british weather.

Immediately the colours from the skin popped, being bright and the attention to detail being perfect.

The skins are made from a 3M vinyl offering 3 layers to ensure that your skin stays in get condition until it gets to you and then stays super stunning while it is on your device. The first layer is the backing of the vinyl to make sure the skin stays in place while it is being delivered to you, the second layer is the vinyl adhesive itself, making sure when your sink is applied its not going to move. This adhesive also makes it really easy to remove the skin if needed. The final layer offers the protection. This layer is both anti-UV and anti-Scratch so your skin is not going to fade or get all scratched up.

The skins come in a number of different designs all with complimenting wallpapers that can be downloaded also.

The Zenus Prestige Carbon Leather case has a great price tag of just £19.95 and makes your iPhone 4S super sexy.

The Zenus Carbon case comes in both black and white versions which equally make your device look stunning.

Zenus has paid special attention to detail when making the Prestige Carbon Case with all the ports being exactly where they should and the camera cut out being large enough to stop any flash coming back through the lens.

The inside of the case has a soft leather lining so the back of your device is not going to get all scratched up while removing and putting the case on. The exterior of the Zenus Carbon case has like the product title says has a carbon fibre look to it. The case wraps completely around the back and sides of the device to give some great protection.

Personally I would say that the white version of the case is geared more to the female market with the black towards the male.

The Zenus Carbon Leather Case is one of the most stylish mobile phone covers I have reviewed and even the packaging is super stylish.

The Osun metal dock is made from just one piece of solid metal and costs £24.95 from MobileFun.co.uk.

It product has a great simple design which adds to the stunning look of this dock. The Osun dock wraps round the dock and left hand side of the iPhone, with the brush metal design making it look like something Apple would have created themselves.

The dock has a little party trick up its sleeve, with the charging cable acting like as a balance the dock can be used in both vertical and horizontal positions. The horizontal posistion is perfect for using your iPhone as a bedside alarm clock. The dock can be used for both charging and syncing your device.

The Osun Metal Dock is one of those phone accessories that just works and is super stylish.

I have been waiting for MyAssistant to be released for a few days now and jumped straight on it when it got released in Cydia. The tweak is available from the BigBoss repo for just 99c and offers a number of different customisation tools for Siri.

The tweak before release went by the name of MySiri. It offers the ability to build custom questions and answers (up to 10) so that you can have a bit of fun with Siri. Other things on offer are things such as Siri now being able to turn off toggles, launch custom activations and launch apps.

The powerful part of MyAssistant is that the user is able to type their own phrase into the settings, for instance a user could choose to say “Bluetooth on” or “Turn on Bluetooth” and the tweak will do the same thing.

However on using MyAssistant there seems to be some bugs still in it.

When setting your phrase to launch an app or turn on/off a toggle you have to make sure that the correct capitalisation is used e.g. Bluetooth on will turn on Bluetooth while Bluetooth On will not (notice the capital ‘O’ in On)

Another problem that members of the MyGreatiPhone team have noticed is that when trying to launch an App with MyAssistant nothing happens other that the status bar disappears and the springboard freezes. To sort this out you have to lock and then unlock your device, once you have done that the App will then launch.

My opinion on MyAssistant is that it really could be a powerful tweak for Siri, but while these bugs remain it just feels unfinished. For the time being I would wait before you go out and buy it and use AssistantExtensions (free in Cydia) instead.

Assistant Extensions is designed to make it easy for developers to expand the capabilities of Siri.

The tweak has no settings but does have a couple of teasers already built it such as:

• System Commands: this allows users to launch apps, send tweets and control the brightness.
• Toggles: lets you set the settings toggles plus see a list of toggles and their current states.
• Chat Bot: lets you chat with Siri. To start, just say “Let’s chat” and wait a moment.

I recently got the chance to review the Incipio Forte f38 Hi-Fi Stereo Headphones and having never previously been a fan of over the ear headphones, I was intrigued to see what all the fuss was about. Having used these headphones for a few weeks now, I can honestly say that I get it and my Apple in-ear headphones are completely inferior to these Incipio Headphones.

When I received the headphones I was really impressed with the packaging; not only were the headphones boxed well but they came in a large shoebox style packaging complete with branded tissue paper and a lovely note for Erin. I received the Espressso version of the Forte f38 Headphones but they’re also available in matte black, neon pink, vintage white and bright turquoise so there’s a colour for everyone.

The Headphones are powered by a 38mm driver unit, so they really do provide great, rich bass and crisp highs – my Ministry of Sound album sounded great through the F38s. It sounds silly but it really felt like I was listening to my music in a completely different way to before – I noticed sounds that I hadn’t noticed before.

When wearing the Forte f38 Stereo Headphones, they feel extremely comfortable. The headband is lightweight and made from steel, then wrapped in a perforated leather material, just to add that extra comfort. The earpads are also wrapped in a synthetic leather material and I personally found them to be the perfect size to cover all my ear without putting any pressure on it. To ensure the Headphones can fit most head sizes the band width is adjustable, I had mine on the smallest size.

The cord to plug the headphones into your headphone jack runs off the left earpad, so it means you’re less likely to get the wire tangled and damaged. The Headphones also come with an 0.25″ adapter so you can use them with almost any gadget you can think of and enjoy the Hi-Fi stereo sound they have to offer. A carrying pouch is also included which helps to protect the headphones when they’re not in use. It’s a drawstring pouch so the headphones have a snug fit but are nice and secure.

All in all, I’m a massive fan of these Stereo Headphones, the sound quality is superb, they’re comfortable to use for hours on end and look good too – everything I could ask for. They’re available from the Incipio website now costing $49.99.

The headset is a mono headset so you want be listening to your favourite tunes or podcasts on it, but then again what is the but of doing that on a single eared device.

The BH112 is a small headset weighing in at only 8.1g. The device comes with 3 earbuds so you can get a good fit in your ear and 2 over the ear hooks. Now I did find that I needed to use the over ear hooks so that the device stayed in place and the saving grace to this is that the hooks are see through.

The BH-112 has only 2 buttons, one on the underside to turn the unit on/off and one to answer, end, last number redial and use voice dialling.

Turning on the BH-112 for the first time puts the device straight into pairing mode, which is a great feature in my opinion. There is no passcode to enter on the iPhone 4S as the device works on Bluetooth 2.1 with EDR. Turning the device of and on again sees the BH-112 pair almost instantly which is another super feature.

The Nokia BH-112 Bluetooth headset also features a voice prompts that tell you when the battery is low, or when the device has been connected or is in pairing mode.

The top surface of the BH-112 is rubberised giving it a good feel and allowing you to make sure that you get a good press in the multifunction button.

Talktime on this little device that measures just 40 mm x 20 mm x 25 mm is 5 hours with 250 hours of standby time and only taking 2 hours to charge.This little bluetooth headset has more tricks up it sleeve by allowing you to connect it to 2 devices at the same time.

Audio quality can not be moaned at with this little headset, with people both being able to hear me well and me hearing them well also, even when using it in windy environments.

The 2 best things about the Nokia BH-112 Bluetooth headset is firstly the colours it comes in: White, Black, Green Blue and Pink and secondly it costing only £22.95.

A big thanks for MobileFun.co.uk for send the unit out for review, they do some excellent mobile accessories with excellent prices whether it be iPad accessories or something to protect your iPhone they will have it.

The Car comes in 2 version an Audi R8 and a Bugatti Veyron. There R8 version which was sent for review is absolutely outstanding and the attention to detail when designing it is second to none. Both headlights and reverse lights come on when moving forwards and backwards giving the RF car that extra something.

Inside the packaging of the R8 you get the car itself, a dock connector dongle, USB charging cable and a portable backup charger that takes 4 x AAA batteries.

To control the car you have to attach the dongle and download the free App from the AppStore.

There are 2 ways to control the car from within the a touch mode which allows you to control the car by using the on screen buttons and then there is a Gyro mode that controls the R8. Both the touch controls and the Gyro controls have just the right amount of sensitivity make controlling the car super easy. A great feature on the Dexim RF car is that the max speed can be controlled through the settings found in the App with 2 being tortoise speed (good for young children) and 15 being warp speed (great for big kids like me)

The car as extra little things up it sleeve like the auto mods that make the car zigzag, circle and dance where the car drives around moving forwards and backwards to music.

The car takes about 10 – 15 minutes to charge and has a range of around 15 meters which is more than enough to zip around the house with.

The Dexim AppSpeed RF Race Car R8 is not one of those things that you need for your iPad, iPod touch or iPhone but its one of the funnest things that I have used. Its like playing need for speed on your iPhone but in real life.

The R8 radio controlled car has to be one of the most fun iPad accessories that I have ever used and provides hours of entertainment.

Having never tried a Gelaskin or even a skin for that matter on my iPhone before I was pretty excited to see what all the fuss was about and it’s fair to say the Gelaskin did not disappoint.

When I applied the Gelaskin to my phone it changed the whole look and feel of my iPhone; not only did it feel different to using a normal case, but there was not a shred of bulk added to my handset and weirdly it felt a lot more stylish than using a standard case.  Using the Gelaskin helps to make your realise just how good the iPhone 4 looks without a case on!

The Mustache Gelaskin was very easy to install, even the side strips were surprisingly easy to attach and as there was no bubbling from the Gelaskin, the application worked first time.

Using this Gelaskin has helped to protect my phone from scratches and scrapes whilst out and about, but because it doesn’t have any thickness to it, it doesn’t really protect from impact damage - something that could be solved by using a pouch also.  However, I do like that the Gelaskin covers the sides and the front of the handset (minus the screen) as this helps to incorporate the theme onto the whole of my phone, especially when the provided screen saver is used too.

The main downside to using the Gelaskin is that it doesn’t offer any protection to the screen of my iPhone, therefore I would suggest investing a screen protector too, which you can also get from Gelaskins (cleverly they’re called GelaScreens). Each GelaScreen for the iPhone 4/4S comes with a full screen protector and a partial one, ready for use with your Gelaskin.

You can get this Gelaskin off the Gelaskins website for $14.95, along with a huge variety of other styles, or alternatively you can upload your own image and ahve a completely unique Gelaskin.

The iDuck is a water proof speaker that streams music from your iPhone, iPod and iPad, in fact it will stream music from any device with a 3.5mm jack port.

The iDuck comes in 2 parts, firstly an egg that connects to your device and then the duck itself which plays the music. The iDuck not only streams music from your device but also will allow you to listen to the radio.

Now the sound that the iDuck produces is nothing spectacular but then again this device is for listening to in the bathroom. The really party trick of the iDuck is that its waterproof so you can actually but the unit in the bath with you.

There was only one problem that I found with the iDuck and that was when trying to listen to the radio, it was hard to tune into your station of choice.

The iDuck is not just for adults though, my kids loved playing with it while in the bath. So while your having a bath, shave or brushing your teeth in the morning you’ll always have your favourite tunes close.

The iDuck would make a great Christmas present this year and retails for £19.95. In fact MobileFun has load of Christmas gadgets from iPhone Accessories to Blackberry Accessories so make sure you head over and pick up that gadget lovers present now.

You may remember the article that we featured some time back about the UK based company that made a mod to make your iPhone 4/4S Apple logo glow, well now there seems to be an easier mod in town.

The company to bring the new mod is called K.O Gadget and they say that the mod can be done at home in no longer than 5 minutes. The kit costs just $42.90 and includes all the parts you need including the necessary tools.

When the case and dock arrived I wasn’t disappointed – the packaging was great (especially if you’re buying as a gift).  It showed the case in all it’s glory and the dock, so that you automatically know that the two are supposed to be used together.

I really like the design of the Wonder Woman case – it’s extremely slim and the clear case really helps to highlight the white writing when it’s on my black iPhone.  The image of Wonder Woman on the case is bright and quite vintage in style, almost like it’s come straight out of the comic book.  Behind the image of Wonder Woman is lots of white comic style text with phrases like ‘Kaboom’ and ‘Take This’, just like from the comic book and TV series.

When I put the case on my phone it snapped on really easily and had the cut-outs for the volume, camera, charging port and silence switch.  It didn’t add a lot of bulk to my handset either and felt nice to hold – I felt as though it added a small amount of grip to my handset too, so that’s a definite bonus if you’re a bit clumsy like myself.

The dock that comes with the case is great – I have it on my desk at work now, so I can just pop my phone in it and it secretly lets everyone know that I am Wonder Woman . The dock has Wonder Woman’s logo emblazoned on it and a slot at the back for your phone – it can fit either standing up or on its side, but the dock is designed for your phone to be portrait, so that you can charge it whilst it’s in the dock.

To make charging your phone a bit tidier whilst it’s in the dock, there’s an indent for your cable and a small hole cut out the back, so you can run your cable under the dock and straight into your iPhone.  Even better you can dock your iPhone with your case on (something which a number of docks don’t allow), so there’s no faffing and you can simply dock your phone whenever hassle free.

There’s not just Wonder Woman in this range from Brando; there’s also a Superman, Batman or Green Lantern version, so there’s a great choice whichever Superhero you prefer.  The docks cost $33.00 and you can also get them from Mobile Fun for £24.95 as part of their iPhone cases range.

I really liked this dock and case set and would definitely recommend it to those who like Superheroes or those who are looking for a last minute xmas present!

Some times I hate the feeling of my pockets all being full with keys, phone, loose change and my wallet, but thanks to Incipio they have managed to relieve some of that bulk that I have to carry round.

The new Incipio Stowaway case offers excellent protection to your iPhone and will fit both the iPhone 4 & 4S.

The case comes in 2 parts, a soft flexible silicone inner that helps protect the iPhone all round and then a hard outer  shell that provides extra protection.

All ports and switches are accessible, with a large cut out for the 3.5mm headphone jack. There should be no problems with the standard Apple 30-pin dock connector cable but other 3rd party cables may prove a problem.

The camera has a large cut out and Incipio haver added a black ring round the edge of the hard case camera cutout to help with flash problems, however there was still a noticeable problem with pictures having flash overload issues due to the silicone inner layer.

The Stowaway has 2 party tricks up it sleeve. The first is that on the back of the case is a flap where when lifted you can place between 3 and 6 business / credit cards deepening on the thickness of the card. This is a great idea and the  Stowaway does a great job of keeping them secure with the flap clipping firmly down.

The 2nd party trick that the Stowaway has to offer is that when its not hiding cards in the back the flap can be used to prop the iPhone up allowing you to watch films whilst on the go.

Overall the Incipio case is a great case and offers great protection for your iPhone. The Stowaway case retails for $34.99 and comes in a 4 colour combinations of Black/Black, Dark Grey/Laser Blue, Deep Purple/Purple and Dark Grey and Orange.

The Sports (which is their name for short) are really light weight at only 24grams. Inside the packaging you get a wall charger, USB charging lead and 3 different style ear tips.

Pairing the Sports is simple as the units feature Bluetooth 3.0 technology, which means that I didn’t need to input an passcode into my iPhone 4S for them to work. The Sports have some good range to them also with them able to stream music upto 33 feet away.

The product isn’t just a set of Bluetooth headphones though, it offers the users the ability to listen to FM radio also.

The Sports take  about 2 hours to fully charge, but then offer decent battery life with upto 4 days standby time, 3 hours music playback and 4.5 hours talk time. It’s the mic on the Sports that gained my most attention though. The mic is positioned just by the ear tip and when I first noticed this I thought that the Sports would not be very good at picking up my voice, but I was surprised when Siri heard everything I said perfectly. While making and receiving calls people on the other end also said that they could hear my load and clear.

As for audio quality while you are never going to get the very best quality from Bluetooth streaming, the Sports did very well. Audiobooks sounded great and so did music, with the Sports having great overall sound.

The Sports are designed with sports in mind ( I bet you guessed that front he name though) and I have to say that they work really well in this environment. While going out running they sat on my ears perfectly. Once you have picked the right ear tips for you the units are really comfortable. The Sports also work with the Endomondo app, which gives you feedback on how well you are doing your chosen sport. They have been designed to work in all weather conditions and are equipped with a military grade body to protect from dust, rain and shock.

Overall the Jabra Sport headphones are one of the best Stereo Bluetooth headphones that I have used, they offer great comfort and super audio quality both in your ears and to the person on the other end of the call.

Maha is no ordinary Twitter client, it is probably one of the most exciting yet. While it may not be as feature rich as some of the most popular clients, it is not without it’s charm. Those who saw our article on the Windows Phone demo last week will notice that this app bares a striking resemblance to Microsofts UI.

This client is more for those who prefer the minimalist feel. The animations employed by the developers are simply a joy to see. It is very smooth and will have you going back to check your tweets a lot more often.

Maha does however have some pretty sweet features like being able to customise virtually all the aspects of the UI. You can change the background colours, the text, the blocks etc.

To reply/retweet/quote etc you press and hold a tweet, links can be opened in the inline browser and you get a preview for images.

I do however have a few gripes. There are no separators between tweets so it can seem somewhat cluttered at times and hard to differentiate who has posted what especially with certain colour combinations. Lack of push support is becoming a common issue with new clients but hopefully this is in the works. There is currently no support for Twitters own image service and as of yet does not take advantage of iOS 5′s single sign on for Twitter accounts. Other than this handful of minor issues this app is pretty cool to use.

At £1.49/$2.49(?) this app is well worth a look. Go grab your copy here.

The unit has only 1 physical button that is used to answer and end calls, manually turn the device on and off and also enable voice dialling. However you don’t have to touch this button at all (other than for voice dialling) as the Stone2 incorporates voice technology, allowing you to to answer and reject calls with voice commands such as ‘Answer’ and “Ignore”

The Stone2 holds and impressive 10 hours worth of charge, 8 hours in the Stone and 2 hours in the earpiece. Every time the earpiece if docked into the stone, it turns itself off and beings charging. Removing the earpiece from the stone automatically turns the Stone2 on and pairs it with your device.

The Stone2 has a another special little feature up its sleeve namely the volume controls. To turn the volume up or down on the Stone2 simply swipe your finger up or down on the unit.

Comfort wise the Stone2 is excellent and the way it wraps around the ear provides extra security that its not going to fall off.

The Stone2 comes with a USB charge lead and extra eartips. The unit retails for £99 but is one of the best Bluetooth headsets that I have used.

The offGRID has to be on of the slimmest battery cases that there is on the market only adding an extra 5.48mm of bulk to your device. The unit does however make the iPhone 4S a little longer.

The great thing about the offGRID is that you can control when you want to changer your iPhone. Simple hold the button on the front of the offGRID for a few seconds and the case will start to charge the iPhone. Stopping the case from charging the iPhone works in exactly the same way.

As an added bonus the case also comes with a screen protector to help keep your iPhone screen scratch and dust free.

As the offGRID is so light and adds little bulk to your iPhone you can use this case as an everyday case unlike some of the battery cases that are big and bulkily. I have used this case often for full days and my iPhone 4S easily sits comfortably in my jeans pocket while the offGRID is on it.

So see how much charge is left inside the offGRID you just press the same power button that is on the front of the unit. There are 4 blue led indicators to tell you how much charge is left.

• 4 Lights = 75% – 100% Charge
• 3 lights = 50% – 74% Charge
• 2 Lights = 25% – 74% Charge
• 1 Light = 1% – 25% Charge

The Xstand is a mobile phone car holder but would also work as a desk stand.

Included in the Xstand packaging is a suction cup, iPhone 4/4S holder, Glue free stickers and attachment plates.

The car holder can be attached to the windscreen of the car or the dash using the included suction cup. To attach it to the screen just place the suction cup against the glass and screw the cup base down. I was amazed how strong the cup holds into place. Even driving over bumpy terrain the Xstand did not budge.

But what about if you don’t wish to have the holder attached to the screen of your car and you want it on the dash or on your office desk, well thats where the glue free stickers come into play.

These stickers will attach to pretty much any surface and when combined with the attachment plates the Xstand sits securely. The attachment plates and stickers don’t just allow you to use the stand on a dash or desk, but they also allow you to attach pretty much any device to the Xstand including other brand mobile phones, mp3 players, iPods and even Sat Nav units.

The clever design of the XStand Go allows you to move and rotate your iPhone in any direction you wish so you always be able to see your phone. The folding neck on the Xstand allows the unit to be folded down keeping it out of site and nicely compact.

The unit allows you to use your iPhone in both portrait mode and if using it as a Sat Nav in landscape mode.

The XStand Go for the iPhone 4 & 4S retails for £25.48 and is one of the best in car holders that I have used. Its small, compact and has been designed excellently.

This morning I was greeted with a message from our very own Nazaroth and all that it said was…

Wow Path is a beautiful app!

Thats all it needed to say for me to head over to the Appstore and grab it. So what is Path, well the people that developed it call it a ‘Smart Jornal that helps you share life with the ones you love’.

On launching the App it was easy to set up, just asking for a few details about yourself. Once that is done you start to see how beautiful the app truly is.

Path is set out in a true timeline, it even has a little clock appear down the side as you scroll down to see older entries. You are able to post the normal things to Path such as thoughts, pictures and location, but the App has another nice little feature that you can post when you are going to bed and when you wake up. When you do this it will also post how much sleep you have had and also what the temperature is at that time.

Posting pictures to Path is not just like a snap of the camera and there it is, the developers of Path have built in different filters to give your pictures a great style / edge to them (think instagram)

As well as posting your thoughts, pictures, location and sleep / wake cycles you can also post what music your listening to. This does not just pull the info from your iPhone or iPod touch it matches the current song to it impressive database of songs/albums/titles. When you have posted what you are listening to, your friends and family can then click on the album cover displayed, which will allow them to listen to a brief snippet and give them a link to download it from iTunes.

Path is really only for people that you know, as you can not search for new people (people you don’t know), but it pulls people from either your contacts or Facebook. This is something that I really like as it means that my ‘Path’ does not get bombarded with things from people that I don’t really want to see.

Another great thing about Path is that you can pick an image as a kind of avatar for yourself but also you can pick or upload a picture to be your ‘Paths’ cover, this brings a kind of elegance to the app.

Path has a number of different notification options for several different things such as new friend requests, comments and so on. You can either have these as push notifications or emails or if you really like both.

The nice thing about Path is that it you can post things solely for you to see and not your friends/family, making this a true journal of your life. If however you do wish to share what you have to say then you can also link your post to Twitter, Facebook and Foursqaure.

Path is clever also, it knows if you are in a new location and automatically posts that you are there, this feature can be turned on and off. Not only does it auto update your location post, it adds which of your friends have viewed your post.

People that have seen your post don’t have to just to comment on your post, but they can show their emotion toward it my using one of the smiley faces.

Path is free here in the Appstore and I would certainly recommend it if your into your social networks.

Path is clean looking, simple to use, elegant and has everything in it that you need. Its privacy settings are second to none. In fact Facebook needs to have a look at Path, they could learn a few things from them.

Well the good people over at MobileFun soon sorted that problem out for me when they sent over the Griffin Adidas Micoach Armband for the iPhone 4 & 4S.

The Micoach is a slim and comfortable armband that holds the iPhone nice and securely. Its made from a Neoprene so the Micoach is able to standup to even the heaviest of workouts and will project you iPhone from sweat.

The armband in held in place buy the strong velcro that keeps the Micoach close to the wearer. The strap of the Micoach is long enough to be worn by most people and will even fit the largest of arms. The Micoach doest feel like case that your wear but more like an iPhone 4S skin its that light weight.

On of the nice things about the Micoach is the key holder to the side of the iPhone section, this means that you don’t have to worry about losing your house key while out on that long run, but also keeps your pockets (if your sports wear has them) keep nice and empty.

The Micoach allows the user to still use and see the iPhone’s screen while keeping it protects from liquid and dirt. The top of the armband has a small hole cutout to allow for your earphones to run though. This keeps earphone wires out of the way and comfortably int he wearers ears.

Final thoughts on the Micoach are thats it comfortable to wear and keeps the iPhone securely in place and it would be a great Christmas present for any sports enthusiasts.

The aim of the game is to beat the bosses and stay fly.

The game has great 8-bit graphics and a pumping soundtrack which you would expect from a gas based around a DJ.

The controls for the app are really simple, just up and down to control “Pauly D” whilst he is on the boardwalk and a jump button so that you can jump over enemies.

Now you think with a jump command you could just keep jumping over enemies but MedlMobile put some thought behind the game play and only allows the jump command to be used once very 2 seconds.

Whilst the level starts off fairly easily it soon becomes hard with more and more people on the boardwalk that you have to avoid. On the boardwalk are girls that you have to ‘pick up’, bruisers to avoid and items to collect.

Each level only allows you to have a maximum of 3 lives and trust me they are hard to keep hold of. You lose lives if you hit a bruiser, or lose your tan! Yep you read it right you have to stay tanned in order to keep alive, hey this game is about staying fly! To stay tanned you have to keep an eye on the tan meter in the top right corner and when you tan drops you need to get into a tanning salon quick.

On the top left of the screen is your points bar. You get points by ‘picking up’ girls and collecting the goodies on the boardwalk. You can x2 your points for a short while by heading into a laundrette and changing your cloths. Remember stay FLY!

To beat the bruisers there is 2 things that you can do, either jump over them or head to the gym get pumped and just run into them.

The game has a rotating ‘night and day’ so it makes it like you are running throughout the whole day.

At the end of each stage is a boss, or a number of bosses, this come in the form of Giant people or nasty executives.

For the price of the game, its keeps your attention for some time. The graphics are fun and being able to change the music by visiting the music store while in the game is a great feature. Being able to unlock achievements with built in Game Center integration is also an added bonus.

Today I’m going to review a great reference app named TV Guide (as the title says). It is universal meaning it is designed for iPhone, iPod  and iPad. The TV Guide app is available via the iTunes AppStore for free, and it currently has a three star rating. TV Guide has been created by the developers over at acrossair. When I saw the three star rating I had butterflies in my tummy. I didn’t know whether to try it or not at first,  so I just said “Why not?” and downloaded it. What’s the worst that could happen? It takes up hard drive space? It’s a free app, so I didn’t see any real harm in trying it.

TV Guide is an app which displays the television programs which are appearing on your TV, whether you have Sky, Freeview, Cable and so on, showing you what’s next for each channel. It works with most popular cable providers, and it requires minimal setup. It also has the best  interface I’ve seen for this style of app, and it’s nicely set up. Simply scroll down for more channels, and scroll left or right for programs and times that they will be on. Tap a program title and it shows the information of the show. Often it also displays a picture of the program such as a DVD cover, or the like. TV Guide has some great features that are embedded into an awesome looking user interface.

One of the best features, in my opinion, is the ability to hide the upper information bar and to look at what’s coming tomorrow. To hide/unhide the information bar there is simply an arrow near the timeline, just tap that and the information bar will become hidden, tap on it again the it will appear as it is supposed to.

The information bar (as I like to call it, some may call it the status bar) is where you see the normal information, and a bit of what the show is about. Below the information bar there are icons which represent; Reminder, Recording (Sky remote only), Calendar, Mail, Share, Favourite, and more.

All together it is great app for free, and if you don’t like it, you can always just simply delete the app. Don’t take my word, check it out for yourself, and leave your comments below!

Today I’m going to review a fun puzzle game called Sprinkle: Water splashing, fire fighting fun! It is universal meaning its designed for both iPhone, iPod  and iPad. Sprinkle is available via the iTunes AppStore for £1.49/or free with a 4 star rating. Sprinkle has been created by the developers over at Mediocre AB. Make sure to leave a review in iTunes and leave a comment on MyGreatiPhone.

The object of Sprinkle is to put the fire out and save the town without running out of water. To help you though out this series of events, you will get a hose which sprays the water. To spray the water, simply press the red button in the bottom right hand corner. To aim, drag the hose to the height you need and then rotate the nozzle to get the angle you need. 

You only have a limited amount of water for each level. The more you use the hose, the less ratings you will get, but alternatively, the more water in the hose the more ratings you will have, which means you have a better chance at unlocking the next progressive level. At first the levels are pretty easy, but once you get into the higher levels of gameplay, the game will obviously become more challenging.

It is also definitely a great way to entertain a child if you have one that you trust giving your iDevice to, so that’s also something to keep in mind. It’s got great replay value, and overall, this game is great to spend a bit of the spare time you have, it’s very addictive and fun, especially if you’re into those types of games.

iPhone cases are all well and good but somethings you want the thinness and form factor of the iPhone 4S not to be hidden away. Well there is a great product that will allow you to do this and add extra style to your device.

Introducing iCarbons, they make skins for a whole load of iDevices but also other tablet and game consoles. Their products are made from a 3M material which makes them both easy to fit and reusable.

We have tested out the iCarbons skins before in Carbon Fibre, but when they announced the Brushed Titanium and Aluminium skins we where super excited to receive them in the post to review.

The skins have a really brushed metal feel texture to them which adds a great stye to the device. In fact it adds that much style to the device even my wife (that hates the iPhone) said she would buy an iPhone if it looked how it does when its wearing a Brushed Titanium Skin.

Now you may be worrying about your skin getting bent, well this is nothing to worry about at all, as the iCarbons team have spent a good few hours developing the skins so that when they are applied any bends simply disappear.

Now if we did ratings on MyGreatiPhone then the iCarbons Brushed Titanium & Aluminium skins would defiantly get a 10/10 they are super stylish and anything that can make my wife like an iPhone is defiantly a top product.

There are loads of cases out there for the iPad, iPod touch and the iPhone but its really hard to find one that really is “you” so when I saw Wrappz.com skins for the a number of different products I was completely blown away.

As I said the main thing that grabbed my attention about Wrappz.com was the ability to totally design a custom skin. You can either upload your own images or you can use the thousands that they have on their site.

iPhone, iPad and iPod skins come complete with a front and back pieces so your product will be totally protected from scratches. Now you may be wondering about the screen of your device and while Wrappz skins do not come with screen protectors they do work with them, which in my opinion is excellent.

Designing your skin is easy as well 1 2 3 and Wrappz are super quick at getting your skin to you, in fact the total time designing to receiving my skins took about 48hrs.

The stylus weighs in at 4.2oz which may seem like a lot but after holding it, it becomes the perfect weight. The stylus has a silky sponge type pad that gives writing / drawing on the iPad a great feel to it, with the end simply sliding over the screen.
The stylus is made to work with capacitive screens so you are able to use it on most tablets, and smartphones including the iPhone 4 / 4S and iPads. 

 
The pen end of the Candy Stylus you will be glad to know is equally good to write with on normal old fashioned paper. The pen cartridge is taken from a Parker ballpoint pen so you know the quality is going to be good. Also the added bonus of the pen is that the cartridges can be replaced once you have used up all the ink. 

Overall the Hard Candy – Candy Stylus is a great stylus and definitely up there with some of the best styli (yes I said styli) out there. The added bonus of a pen makes the Candy Stylus an everyday user for me.

The Case-Mate Madison Quilted Case is made from premium leather, so it’s really soft to touch and looks luxurious.  The quilted effect looks like that which is used by Chanel in their famous bags, so it’s a great case for those of us who like to think of ourselves as fashionistas.

Adding only a tiny amount of bulk to my iPhone 4, the case will also fit the iPhone 4S and it really is a great case fro the lady in your life – luxury and sparkles

The sparkle element on the back of the case comes from Swarovski Crystal Elements which add just the right amount of ‘bling’ to the handset, as it looks elegant, not tacky.  Having this Swarovski element on the case does bring it to a different level and proves that Case-Mate aren’t playing around with the Madison case – they’ve designed a case that’ll appeal to fashion fans and make their friends green with envy.

One of my favourite iPhone cases I’ve reviewed for a while, the Madison Quilted case made my phone feel more expensive as soon as I put it on, which is reflected in the £39.99 price tag of the case.  You might think this is expensive for a case at first glance but don’t forget you are getting premium leather and Swarovski crystals for your money.

As expected, the ports and features of my iPhone are still accessible with the Madison Case on, so my phone remains functional at all times.  This case is one which definitely proves things can have both style and substance.

Military Regulations has been developed by Medl Mobile with an idea being sent it from Lt. John Patterson through their App Incubator.

In honour of this weekend Military Regulations is free.

Lt. John Patterson is a Field Artillery Specialist for the US Army’s Special Projects division. When coming up with the idea of this app he thought that he could complete tasks quicker if he had all of his handbooks all in one place that was easy to access and easy to pull up the most important pages to him.

Military Regulations does exactly what Lt. John Patterson wanted. It incorporates handbooks from the Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines and Navy.

When launching the App you get your first book for free, which you can select the best for you, with the other 4 books costing 69p / 99c each.

Each book is split into sections alphabetically allowing you to get right to the part that you need to or if you need to get to a certain part super quick then there is a search function included. Military Regulations also allows you to bookmark pages that you use often.

Not being a military person myself I knew nothing about the services. I first launched the App and picked ‘Army” as my free book. I was quickly taken to the different sections within the handbook.

Finding information is quick and easy even though the App contacts literally  thousand of pages of information.

Each part of the handbook is a pdf document that allows you to zoom in by double tapping to make for easy reading.

Winter months bring a problem for iPhone users and that problem is cold fingers. See as the iPhone uses a capacitive  touchscreen, gloves just don’t work with it. You could use a stylus but what just wasn’t how the iPhone was designed to be used.

For as long as the iPhone has been about I have been looking for a set of gloves that I can use and while I have seen a few pairs that offer the ability to use a touchscreen phone whilst wearing them none of them have jumped out at me, that was until about a month ago.

I was searching for something on Twitter and stubbled across the eGlove account and I was instantly drawn to them.

eGlove.co.uk are a UK based company that make gloves for sports wear including Skiing. In fact their gloves are that good they have the backing of the UK #1 Snowboarder Zoe Gillings.

Now I’m no skier so after speaking with the great people at eGlove I decided that I would go for the F3 Sport glove. The gloves turned up super quick and after opening them I was super surprised at how thin they were. The F3′s were that thin I must admit that I was sceptical that they would given keep my hands warm.

After trying on the gloves I was really happy with the fit (large), there was no sag to them at all. The F3‘s come in 3 sizes Small, Medium and Large.

Now like I said I’m no skier or for that fact a runner but on my morning walks to work the eGlove F3 Sports have kept my hands really warm leading me to believe that if I was a sports person they would keep in the heat that my body produced whilst running and therefore do an even better job.

The gloves are made from a breathable lightweight performance lycra which helps with the great fit. The cuffs of the F3‘s are the type that cling you your wrist which is great as this stops the gloves from slipping of but also keeps in the warmth.

The palms of the gloves have the ‘F3′ logo on which is made from silicone that adds to the style and grip. This silicone also runs up the 3 of the finger and has a great ‘Tron’ design. Now to say that this silicone stops your iPhone from slipping out your hands is an understatement, this stuff is seriously grippy, in fact its hard to slide your fingers with the silicone on down the phone.

The F3‘s work with the iPhone because they have Conductive technology pads on both the thumb and forefinger. These silver tips on these fingers work and I have had no problems texting, emailing or changing songs over whilst wearing the gloves.

Now for you women (or men) that are not loving the black F3‘s then eGlove do a pink version.

So my final opinion on the eGlove F3 Sports are that I couldn’t ask and wouldn’t even bother looking for a better glove to use my iPhone with. They are lightweight, super slim, have a great design to them, keep you warm and well just work.

Even if your not a sports person I would recommend getting the eGlove F3 Sports for day to day use. The F3‘s retail for £21.99, so head over to eGlove.co.uk now before it gets to cold.

I personally found the unit very easy to use, and paired with my iPhone 4s flawlessly. The controls are pretty self explanatory when it comes to playing music, to activate Siri you simple press and ho;d the play and previous buttons.

The sound quality, I have to say, was well above my expectations. The amount of bass almost made my ears bleed which is just the way I like it! The ear buds are quite comfortable too, no issues with them falling out of my ears.

Now normally battery life isn’t such an issue, but when the iPhone 4s was released there was a large number of users reporting very poor battery life which was tracked down to bugs in the location services. This has since been addressed by Apple but if you still want to be on the safe side then this case could be what you are looking for.

Mili themselves brand this case as one of the slimmest external battery cases available measuring in at 18mm, adding only 9mm to the thickness of your iPhone. Mili also claim that this case can DOUBLE the battery life of your device but we will get to that soon. The case itself is hinged at the top to allow you to simply slide your iPhone in easily and then clip the hinged end back over the edge. I had no issues at all with this and the clasp did not open in my pocket once. Below are some images.

I have to say that the case feels really nice in my hand. It does add some bulk and weight to the iPhone but not enough to make it uncomfortable to use. When you first charge up the case it will charge the iPhone fully before charging itself, you can charge the case separately if you want to though.

One issue I did find is one that is actually detailed in the instructions. Due to there being such a deep recess for the camera, when taking a photo using the flash you get a small but noticeable white blur in the bottom right corner of every picture. The simple fix for this is not to use the flash, so not ideal but a small sacrifice.

The level of charge is indicated by 4 blue LED lights on the bottom right hand side, when charging they will flash on and off. During use you can check the remaining charge left by pressing the button. At first it seemed that the case would always be on and charging as my iPhone sat at 100% fully charged for quite some time but then I noticed it stop and the iPhone battery started to be used.

When you get down to a low charge you can simply activate the case by pressing the button, this will start the charging action. As for Mili’s claim that this case doubles the battery life, well, I hit the button on a fully charged case when the iPhone was at 25% and managed to get a 93% charge, more than adequate for getting you out of a tight spot or preventing the loss of a tethered JB. Well done Mili.

Overall the Mili Power Spring 4 is a great way to extend the battery life of your iPhone. I also get the feeling that during a light impact my iPhone 4s would be pretty safe.

As with all cases of this type, perfect access is given to all the ports and buttons while still providing a decent amount of protection to your device.

As I said the case adds a fantastic diamond effect to the back of your device, making you stand out in the crowd and will turn plenty of heads. Around the edge covering the aluminium band is clear plastic to emphasise the backplate even more. More images after the break.

All in all this is a great looking case, if you are looking primarily for protection then this case may not be for you but if you just want to accentuate an already great looking device then this is the case for you.

The Tank is a new case from Case-Mate and it offers complete protection to your iPhone.

The product is designed for the iPhone 4 and the iPhone 4S which is really good, as it means that any of you looking for a protective case for your iPhone 4 when you upgrade to the 4S it will still be good.

When I was offered the unit for review I did a little research on the Tank and one of the vids I saw was the case being run over by a car. I thought to myself this must really be a good case (or some great camera work)

The case is made from a shatter resistant polycarbonate with a thin layer of silicone on the inside that makes the iPhone ‘float’ inside the case. This layer of silicone stops the iPhone absorbing the impact of a drop.

Case-Mate when designing the Tank really did think about every part of protection, and with this they installed a sliding screen protector that moves around the back over the Tank when you need to use the screen. This sliding screen protector is made from a polypropylene, this in turn protects your iPhone screen from scratches, dust and impact which causes cracked screens.

Case-Mate thoroughly tested the Tank and thats why it has been given the tag line of “It Takes A Beating”. While testing the Tank Case-Mate found that it absorbed less impact than other leading iPhone 4S Hard Cases.

The Tank comes in 3 parts with one of those parts being a holster to make your iPhone easily accessible. The iPhone is first inserted into the bottom part of the case and this then clips into the top part. The feel of the Tank is soft which is great for this style of case as it allows the case to easily slide in and out of a pocket.

Now this is a hard style case so will add some extra bulk to the iPhone 4 / 4S, but I was pleasantly surprised that it was not over bulky and it didn’t make the phone hard to use.

The Tank completely covers the volume buttons to the iPhone and also the Sleep/Wake button. The Home button is also covered by a silicone button which when pressed gives a great feel just like the Home button of a ‘naked’ iPhone.

The bottom port of the iPhone is protected by a silicone plug which when moved provides a large opening which will accommodate most 3rd party charge/sync cables.

The headphone port is also covered by a silicone plug this also allows when removed more than enough room for most 3.5mm jacks.

Now the Case-Mate Tank retails over at MobileFun for £44.95 which may sound a lot for a case but when you watch the video below you’ll see that £44.95 is a small price to pay for how much protection you will get from the case.

I really did put the Tank through its paces and when I decided to run it over, believe me I was shaking, but there was no real need to as the Tank did it’s job perfectly and I couldn’t ask for more.

The Tank withstood a massive throw, a dozen or more kicks both inside and outside, being dropped on the floor and then being run over, not by any car, but a 7 seater people carrier.

If you are after a hard case for your iPhone 4/4s then look no further because the Case-Mate Tank is truly the “Ultimate Case”. In fact its that good its “Military Grade” Good!

At first glance I was a little apprehensive as the icon isn’t very striking, but I thought “what the heck” and gave it a chance. The aim of the game is simple – The Warrior Viking Ragnar will send his mighty ThunderSword skyward, it is your job to keep it up there.

As the ThunderSword flies across the sky you will encounter many explosive objects designed to slow you down and inevitably bring you back to earth, thus ending the game. These include;

• Small birds
• Thunder clouds
• Tiki-Gods
• Grizzly bears
• Asteroids
• Rainbows
• Aliens

To help you, there are 3 types of gems that when hit, send you higher – faster. Like I said before, this game is quite addictive but there is one thing that stands out, and that is the epic, save the world style background music! It could be straight out of a Viking movie! It really spurs you on to reach new hights.

With GameCentre integration you can also keep track of your top scores and try to beat your friends.

All in all this is quite a simple looking but highly addictive game and I would recommend it to you all.

On screen keyboard such as those that the iPad has are not for everybody, some people don’t like not having and feedback on what key they have pressed other just feel its not for them, so when MobileFun offered to send me the Keycase iPad Folio Delux with Bluetooth Keyboard (we’re going to call it the Keycase for short) I thought it was worth a review.

On opening the product you realise that the Keycase is quite a large are and you can instantly see that it will add some bulk to your iPad, this may bother some people, but its on closure inspection and on use that you forget about the size of the case.

The product comes with the case itself and a USB charging lead (and a set of instructions). Pairing the Keycase with the iPad was easy just a press of the bluetooth button on the keyboard and then into the bluetooth setting on the iPad, enter a pin and your done.

The keys on the Keycase are made of a soft silicone material and comes in a one piece design meaning that there are no gabs between the keys. This is great as it makes the keyboard dust and spill resistant.

The keyboard offers main iPad specific buttons such as a Home button to take you back to the Springboard and a Spotlight button to take you to the search page. The Keycase also gives the user full media buttons so you can play, skip and rewind your music without having to go into the iPod app. Also on the keyboard are volume buttons and a mute button.

The Keycase offers 45 hours of use off one single charge but also has a built in auto sleep mode that puts the Keycase to sleep if not in use for 10 minutes – this feature really helps as it stretches the  battery length.

The Keycase allows the user to access all the buttons and ports on the iPad while in the case. When the Keycase is closed it is held together with magentas to offer extra protect and to stop your iPad slipping out.

The case itself is made from a plastic material and comes in a black colour, now this may not sound to exciting but this helps keep the Keycase looking professional.

The keyboard in the Keycase is easy to use and really quite. I can defiantly type quicker on it than on the the on-screen keyboard.

This case is really good if you want to use your iPad as more as a netbook. Even though it adds bulk to the iPad its easily fits into a bag. The Keycase costs £39.95 and I think its definitely worth. If a bluetooth keyboard is one the iPad Accessories that you need then make sure you pick up the Keycase.

Ever since i got the iPad, I was really annoyed because one of the main apps I use on my iPhone is the Calculator app and it wouldn’t have taken much to take it over to the iPad too, but they didn’t. I don’t know why but Apple also chose not to include optimised versions of many of the other stock iPhone/iPod apps.

I have used many Calculator apps like CalculatorHD, Calculator HD+ and many more, but this one was a great purchase. Once you open the app for the very first time you will be greeted with a Pop Up saying “Welcome to Calculator HD…..” tap ok and then your in, Calculator HD for iPad has a Desk like feel to it in the background you will see a pencil, pen etc (that can be turned off in Settings).

Calculator HD for iPad has 8 modes. The first four modes are for landscape orientation and the other four are for portrait orientation. The Names are the same but to active them all you need to put it in either landscape or portrait. The names are Basic, Note, Tape, and the one you first open is Scientific.

The Basic mode is in the name, it’s Basic, it looks like the stock iPhone app.

The Note mode is the one I use the most, and I absolutely love it because I can open the app and immediately do some quick calculations without needing to type stuff into the keyboard to remember. The Note mode adds a notepad on the side of the calculator, which actually works to write on, preferably with a stylus.

The Tape mode takes the basic calculator and adds a receipt-looking paper strip on the side, like you would find on some real life calculators in stores.

The Scientific mode adds more advanced calculator features, sort of like you’d find on the built in iPhone calculator if you use it in landscape mode.

To select a mode all you need to do is tap the Settings logo down in the bottom right and Select a mode you want. Also in settings are;

The Print to tape section.

• All Modes.

• Tape Mode only.

The Interface section.

• Button Sounds

• Decorations

All together I think it is a really good application and I recommend it to anyone how is looking for a great Calculator app and with the 8 modes you can’t go wrong.

Since getting the iPhone 4S I have wanted to keep it is perfect condition so the good people over at MobileFun set me over the Case-Mate Barely There 2

The Barely There 2 Case is the predecessor  the excellent and super thin Barely There case from Case-Mate. The main difference with the second version is the more stylish looks.

The case is made from a hard ABS plastic which fits snug around the sides of the iPhone 4S. The case is finished in a gun metal with the back supporting a leather carbon fibre insert.

All ports are easily accessible while using the Barely There 2 case due to the large openings for the dock and headphone ports, so using 3rd party accessories should no be a problem.

The case comes with a screen protector which is a great as the case offers little lay on the table design.

The Barely There 2 case feels great in the hand and hard adds any weight our bulk to the stunning iPhone 4S. The rear insert to the case has a good texture to it and stops the case from slipping out of your hand.

The case is designed to fit both the iPhone 4 and the 4S and its able to due this by having a large cut out for the volume buttons and the silence switch. This cut out has a slopped edge to it so that the buttons are easy to get to.

Due to the way the case works its offers minimal protection for the iPhone 4 /4S but will save your phone from scratches, small drops and dirt.

The Barely There 2 case is truly stunning and certain adds an extra professional / executive look to your device. The unit costs £24.95 from MobileFun which personally I think is a goof price for such a high end case and its good that Case-Mate provide a screen protector for the front of the the iPhone.

The Speaky is not the usual bluetooth car kit that attaches the sun visor. The Speaky sits on your dash board an well looks nothing like a bluetooth kit at all.

The unit comes in 2 different colours black and pink. I like that it comes in these colours as this unit would then appeals to female market also. Within the packaging you get the Speaky itself, velcro stick pad, a USB charging lead and a car charging unit.

The Speaky comes in a funky bubble person shape, giving it an appeal to the younger market, a place where bluetooth accessories need to be aimed at more with more and more young drivers using their phones whilst driving.

The Speaky is easy to use and pairing was simple. Once installed in your car all that you need to do is turn the unit on and press the multifunction button in the units stomach. This puts the Speaky into pairing mode. Pairing the unit with my iPhone 4s was easy, there was no need to input a code as it paired with the iPhone itself. Along the pairing procedure the Speaky gives you voice instructions which makes the pairing even easier as your not trying to read the manual at the same time.

The 2 arms on the Speaky control the volume with the left arm giving volume up and the right arm doing volume down. Pressing the stomach of the Speaky will answer incoming calls and end a call when you have finished with it.

Pressing the left and right arm together will allow you to use your phone’s voice controls if they support it.

A great thing about the Speaky is that you have the ability to leave the unit one all the time. You may think that you would be continually charging the unit if you left it on all the time but Bluetrek added a sensor to the Speaky so that when a door is opened on the car the Speaky will wake up, if the unit loses a bluetooth connection for more than 5 minutes it will go to sleep.

The Speaky has a really good speaker in it, I have used it for around 3 weeks now and have no problems hearing a caller over the sound of the engine, music or even while the window is open.

The same can be said for the Mic on the Speaky, while using Siri to send messages on the iPhone 4S; Siri managed to pick up everything. Callers on the other end of the phone while using the Speaky said that they could hear me clearly also.

The Speaky is a great size also measuring  77 x 68 x 56mm so it can happy sit on your dash without getting in the way. The unit gives 6 hours worth of talk time and an impressive 38 days worth of standby time. In fact I have not charged the unit once since I received it.

The Speaky costs $69.99, which I thing is a god price for a unit this fun and user friendly.

With that and telling MobileFun I want a good screen protector that fits the iPhone 4S, fingerprint resistant and doesn’t have a rainbow effect. They then kindly sent me this.

On the packaging, Case-Mate boasts “Anti-Fingerprint, Anti-Glare, Installs in Seconds *NO BUBBLES”

Notice that no bubbles statement? It has a * against it. But no where on the packaging does it state why it has a * next to it…

Putting the protector on was simple. However I have noticed that it is actually smaller in size compared to the iPhone 4/4S. You can align it completely correct at the top to find it comes up short at the bottom. Likewise the other way. The instructions also state to start at the bottom, but the tab protecting the sticky side of the protector is at the top. This makes avoiding any fluff/dust getting on the sticky side incredibly hard as you have to uncover the whole thing.

When putting it on, I found that bubbles were certainly there. They were easy to get out but that is where you then may notice any dust or fluff that has got in. Good thing they provide two!

When it is all down and bubbles removed, the first thing you notice is the screen is no longer glossy thanks to the anti-glare. Personally, this is the one thing I hate. It makes the screen more cloudy, too.

What I have also noticed is that you can constantly see rainbow effect when the screen is on. It is actually worse on the iPhone 4/4S than the 3GS because the screen being double the pixels. It’s like that weird effect you get when a picture in the distance has lots of straight lines and it looks like they’re bending.

I also find, but this could just be in my mind, that you have to press a little harder to get a reaction from the phone. I like to have my phone on it’s dock and lightly press it to stop me knocking it over. But I notice with this I have to hold the phone to do so.

I also do still find fingerprints/smudges. Not as clear as you would with the screen on it’s own but I still see them.

The good thing about the screen protector is that it does actually work as a protector. It’s not scratched itself or the device under it and I’m confident with it. (It’s had a few meetings with coins and jeans buttons…). And the anti-glare works great if that is what you are after.

So personally for me, this screen protector is another one that gets a no from me. But if you are after one that has anti-glare and is protecting well, I would recommend it to you. Though I do hope they sort out the size of the bloody thing.

Well for a couple of weeks now I have been testing out the the Edifier TickTock dock and since then I have no problems waking up as this little unit certainly does kick out the sound.

The TickTock dock is not just an iPod / iPhone dock but also has a built in AUX source (3.5mm to 3.5mm lead included) and FM radio.

The unit comes in a great old fashioned alarm clock design with the 2 speakers to take away that tinny sound that the iPhone can produce.

The Edifier TickTock dock obviously has an alarm function as that is what it was built for but also has a sleep mode to turn itself off. The front of the dock has a small LED display to show you the volume / FM station or outstanding time left to play on your chosen song.

The TickTock dock is easy to use, has a fun design and it has no problems waking the heaviest of sleeps. If you’re an iPhone or iPod users and are on the look out for a new alarm clock then this is the product for you.

The Edifier iF350 is a portable speaker dock for you iPhone, iPod touch, iPod Nano and iPod Classic.

The unit runs from mains power, but has a built in battery allowing the unit to be taken out of the house so you can enjoy your tunes out in the garden or even down the beach.

The unit is light weight (1.5kg) and comes with a protective pouch to slide the iF350 in when traveling around. The size of the iF350 is one of its strongest features measuring just 276 x 157 x 41mm (W x H x D), making it easy to fit in a holdall.

The iF350 comes with a multitude of dock connector inserts depending on what iPhone / iPod you are going to use. As well as being a iPod dock it also has a built in FM Radio and also has an AUX function to plug in other devices such as MP3 players (3.5mm to 3.5mm lead included)

The Edifier is easy to use and has some special hidden tricks up its sleeve. When the unit is closed the back stand and and dock fold up to allow the unit to be easily packed away. There unit also comes with a remote with is neatly hidden in the back of the device so that it does not get lost.

The unit comes black front colour with a clean looking white back which will makes the iF350 encore look stunning. The top of the unit supports the control buttons for the unit including a function button for swapping between the different modes (AUX, radio, iPod)

The front of the iF350 shows a 2 inch LED displaying the battery status, mode and volume. Another great feature about the iF350 is the alarm function which will not only wake you up but also but the unit to sleep after a set period of time.

I have personally been using the iF350 in the kitchen and I have to say that I have loved using it. The unit goes loud enough to cover all to sounds that a kitchen makes and the sound that the unit makes is crisp and clear.

The Edifier iF350 On the Go Encore is available to buy for £109.99. I personally would recommend this speaker to dock to anybody that is looking for one and with the holiday season getting close it may be worth adding it to your Christmas list.

I will admit that I’ve never been great at fitting screen protectors – I always end up being left with one really annoying bubble which just won’t go away so when fitting this screen protector I was pleasantly surprised that I wasn’t left with any bubbles.

When you open the pack you’ll find inside some instructions, the screen protector itself, a cleaning cloth, a plastic card and a dust removal sticker (at first I did wonder what the plastic card was there for).  There’s a few steps to attach the screen protector but my first piece of advice is to remove your iPhone case before you start.

Fitting the screen protector is pretty easy, but what I really liked about the application was that to help you line up the screen protector you stick it to the side of your phone and more or less fold the screen protector over.  This means if you don’t line it up correctly straight away it’s easy to try again without having to remove the whole screen protector.

Once you’ve attached the first layer of the screen protector, you remove any dust with the dust sticker; then take off layer two and get rid of any bubble with the cleaning cloth wrapped around the plastic card (clever) then remove the third and final layer.  The instructions sound a little complex and like there’s a lot to it but believe me it’s worth it.

The Multi-Shield screen protector offers three layers of protection, so it’s going to take quite a lot for any marks to appear on your actual screen.  Plus I’ve found that it’s made my screen look so much brighter – which is great for when I’m watching videos and playing apps.

My only downside to this screen protector is that it isn’t anti-finger print, so I still get finger print smudges on my screen.  I do think this is something I’m willing to compromise on though for the protection I’m getting and the brightness of the screen.

While there was a problem (it wasn’t compatible with iOS5, which I am currently running), this has now been worked out. To do so, once a developer releases an update to their app with new iOS5 compatibility, it will make the app running on a lower firmware unstable, which is obviously a bad thing.

Today, we have a great announcement to make if your a fan of the Blogsy app for iPad: Fomola has worked so, so hard to put together some new features but most importantly, the best part of this updated announcement is that it is now compatible with iOS5. Another great feature that has been added is that Fomola has integrated iCould into Blogsy with this update as well.

So how would iCloud work with an app like this? I got to thinking as well, and it’s simple actually. Once you take a picture with the iPhone, it will send it up to the cloud (if you have it enabled) and within a minute those pictures will show up in Blogsy and the photo album. I personally think this is a smart move from Fomola and definitely a step heading in the right direction. Here is a quote directly from Fomola about when this update will be released:

So when can you get your hands on it? As soon as Apple releases iOS 5 to the general public. We would like to release it now but we can’t because it requires iOS 5. That’s right, because we are forced to make changes because of the new iOS 5 programming and because we are taking advantage of some new features of the iOS the next update of Blogsy will only work on iOS 5. So make sure you update to iOS 5 as soon as Apple releases it and then update to the latest version of Blogsy.

As always, we will update you when iOS5 and the new release of Blogsy is out, but for now, unfortunately we have to wait.

So with that being said, let me go into some detail about what these apps are, and what they do.

FACEBOOK

It is no big secret that facebook has been unveiling feature after feature lately, especially now that it has some competition from Google. The issue that many people are having is that they feel facebook is literally stealing the ideas that Google has been implementing into their own social network, but that doesn’t mean that people care. However, the facebook iOS application is atrocious, but once again, you can usually see it with 40,000+ reviews in the AppStore. That makes it one of, if not THE most downloaded app for iOS, and while many hardcore users will have complaints, there are literally million upon millions of users who have no complaints based on the fact that it does exactly what they need it to do. It may lack a few features from the desktop version, but that is to be expected, and for the most part, it functions as it needs to. It has also included both the ability to leave private e-Mail-style messages with other facebook users, or to use the “Messenger” type of live-chat service as a secondary method of communications. While at the current time, the facebook app has been highly scrutinized, I expect that in the near future, an update will come along to include all the new features of the new facebook as well, so keep your eyes peeled on this one.

GOOGLE PLUS

While not having anywhere near the same amount of users as facebook does, for a social network in its infancy, Google+ is going quite well, with well over 40 million users in its first few months of existence. One of the good things about this service has always been that it had a relatively good iOS app to support it’s desktop counterpart, and while it lacked certain features as to be expected, it was a fully functional and robust option for those of us on the go. Recently, for all iDevices that support it, Google has added the ability to use the front facing cameras so that you could join in on “Hangouts” (group video chats) and they added the ability to use their “Messenger” service with other Google+ users, very much like a MMS service. This app does what it was intended to do, and had a decently better rating than most “official” social networking applications, so once again, this is highly recommended. Currently at the moment, there is a massive bug in the Google+ iOS app that does not allow you to use any form of AutoCorrect of TextExpanders in post/status mode, and that is being worked on. You’ll see that everything functions as it is supposed to in “Messenger” mode, and it should be corrected relatively soon.

BELUGA

Most people out there probably have no idea what Beluga is, but it is probably the best, most unknown group messenger out there available on iOS. It was created by a company called Beluga, Inc., and earlier this year, it was actually acquired by facebook, so that should tell you something about this. It is reliable, and while it may not be “linked” to any social network, the fact that it was designed to interact with groups of people in essence defines what it is to be a part of a type of social network, it was just designed to be for a smaller, more personal setting instead of having every one of your friends/followers see what is going on. Each chat room is called a “Pod”, and you can create as many pods as you need to. It supports photos and location, you can invite anyone with any email address, and most importantly, it is cross-platform, which means that you can invite anyone with a smartphone, not just an iPhone. It also has desktop support via a web interface that allows you to chat from your desktop web browser, and has no limit of fees associated with how much you use it. This one comes highly recommended, and is in fact the group messaging application the entire team on MyGreatiPhone.com uses to communicate and organize our site.

BEEJIVE IM

BeeJive is perhaps the best and most reliable instant messaging application on the entire whole of the AppStore. It is extremely reliable, has been proven over the test of time, and support most of the major social networks, such as AIM/iChat, MSN, Yahoo!, GoogleTalk, facebook IM, Jabber and MySpaceIM. It supports basic MMS (no video files) and also allows you to create chat rooms for all of your group-chat needs. This is the only app out of all of the ones I have reviewed that has a price tag though, as you can find it in the AppStore for $9.99 which is pretty steep for most people. I have been using this application for years now, and it has never, not once failed me. Obviously it utilizes Apple’s Push notifications, and has support for just about everything you could come to expect from a messenger, including the ability to use it for SMS-out features and functions. Overall, I can’t recommend this application highly enough, as it is the only instant messaging app I approve of.

TWITTER

Now, on to my favorite of them all, the standard, basic, official twitter application. Just like with all the other applications I’ve reviewed above, there are unofficial third party applications out there that do more, include more features and whatnot, but the official twitter application is actually more than sufficient to get done what you need to get done. While there isn’t much support for third party services, it would be misleading to state that this app is somehow incomplete. Out of all of the “official apps”, this one comes in a close second right behind the Google+ application in terms of user satisfaction, simplicity to use, a beautiful interface, as well as a fully-featured and capable application to get everything you need across in 140-characters or less. For those twitter addicts out there, this app is more than sufficient to express ourselves how we need to, and does a good job of emulating the desktop experience.

Obviously, these are not the “end all/be all” social messaging apps, as there are many third part endeavors that accomplish more with what they are working for, but that is a whole separate article, and trust me, they are coming soon. When I think of Etch A Sketch I always think of two things: one struggling to draw a curved line and two the Chicken man from Toy Story 2 (the nasty man who steals Woody).  Now I can add a third to my list, which is turning my iPhone 4 into a modern day Etch A Sketch.

This case was released by Headcase to coincide with the 50th Anniversary of the Etch A Sketch (there’s also an iPad 2 case).  It’s officially licensed, so you know you’re getting the real deal and it does everything you expect it too, from being protective to creating conversations.

The case is made from impact resistant plastic so it does protect your phone from every day bumps and drops, but I have a feeling it’ll scratch easily and I’m quite a clumsy person, so this could be an issue.  It doesn’t come with a screen protector either, but how many cases do these days!

What I really like about this case though is that it has a front and back, but still includes cut outs for all the relevant ports like the headphone jack, volume controls and charging port to name a few.  It also looks good and good quality and when you play the Etch A Sketch app whilst using the case, you really do revert to your childhood self.  The only way I could see the case improving were if the knobs actually moved (not that they’d do anything though).

Today I’m going to Review a great Productivity app called Blogsy. Blogsy for iPad is available via the iTunes AppStore for £2.99, It has been created by the Developers over at Fomola,  Download Here. Make sure to leave a review in iTunes and your thoughts below. They are really friendly over at Twitter and Facebook so if you have any questions hit them up.

Right, now let’s get on to the part you have been waiting for.

Before I came across Blogsy I was using WordPress for iOS. Personally I think Automattic dropped the ball a little as for the most part the app was full of bugs and crashes, and when you are using a tool that affects your blog, it is important that that tool works properly. It was very hard to get use to and I kept on having to go to safari to get all the images then back to the WordPress app to put all of the images in place. After I gathered all that together I needed to put the coding in (HTML) and put the images in the right place which I needed to go to the computer to do all of that, that was a nightmare for me because I shouldn’t have to go to the Computer at all and that’s why I moved to Blogsy. In fact this article you’re reading now was entirely written and edited in Blogsy. All the formatting, images and links went through Blogsy’s content editor.

Once you open the app for the very first time you will be greeted with a login page where you can login to either Blogger, WordPress blogs or Posterous (You can set up as many accounts as you have), after all of that you will see an article from the Team showing you a little bit of info about the app it self.

In the settings (near the title) you can find all of your information for your article, the title, publish date, categories, tags, allow comments, status, visibility, and post type. There is a local tab were you can find all of the articles that you have drafted up in Blogsy. There is also an online tab so that you can see all of the posts already created/published on the sites you have added. In the Settings on the right hand side You will find all of the how-to videos/guides and social sites that blogsy has integrated so that you can login to them, also there are some general Settings.

On the other side of the title bar you will find a quick add sign, this is where you can add a new article. The current article you are working on will be moved to the local tab.

What is really good about this app is the offline mode. This allows you to create articles and next time you are connected to the internet Blogsy will publish them.

The Blogsy team has implemented a “Rich Side” and a “HTML Side” that allows you to edit your article like never before, you can see the “Rich Side” by swiping Right and you can see the “HTML Side” by swiping 3 fingers Left. The “Rich Side” is where you can drag and drop images, add links, format text and change image and video properties and on the “HTML Side” you can write text, edit & write HTML and paste embed codes.

On the Tool bar (at the top), you can have quick access to the HTML code on both the “Rich Side” and the “HTML Side”. You also get all the regular features of a WYSIWYG editor and just on the “HTML Side” you will have the ability to add a More tag as well as all of the Stuff on the “Rich Side”.

On the right side of the screen you’ll see icons that represent Flickr, Picasa, YouTube , Google Image Search, A Safari Browser, Photo album And WordPress media. If you want to get text, images or video from any of those’s sources you just drag that information over and drop it into your blog, this needs to be on the “Rich Side”. From the browser you can also grab images and just drop them in place from any site, it is that simple.

After you get your content you can style and resize it to fit just by clicking on it.

The app is very easy to setup and with the Help article it is very easy to use.

I have given four and a half stars because since I have got this app I have notice that I have been writing a lot more than with the WordPress app, plus I haven’t had to use a computer to centre the images. The UI and the integration with the built in services like Safari,YouTube, and Google image are perfect. Having a “Rich Side” and “write Side” is an excellent idea and well thought out. The “Offline Mode” is well executed and I have used many Apps that have WordPress built in and not one of them has a feature like this. The Drag and Drop Feature is a great way to move/edit videos and images so that is why i have given four and a half stars.

It would have been 5 but there are some little features that I would still like to see in Blogsy but the about page on the website has a voting system for the next features to be added, you can vote for your next feature here.

Other than that it is an excellent app and one of my most used iPad apps.

Now I am not a huge FourSquare user, mainly down to always forgetting to check-in, but Forecast seems like a pretty good tool for die hard users. Forecast, rather than announcing where you are, allows you to announce where you are going and when you are going to be there. Then, once there, you can check-in to let your friends know you are there. This also updates your FourSquare account as a check-in, thus awarding you the relevant points. You can search for your destination easily with most of the world now available to choose from.

The app is currently in private beta and therefore invite only during testing. If you have a Foursquare friend on Forecast then they can invite you in, if not then you have to wait or request an invite by visiting foreca.st.

Forecast is a well crafted app that is pleasing to the eye and as I said is a great accompaniment to Foursquare. Below are some pics of the app in action.

When I was young I had all the Where’s Wally? books and I would spend hours finding Wally, the Wizard, Odlaw and even the little dog Woof’s tail sticking out; so it’s fair to say that I was a little excited when I saw the Where’s Wally? In Hollywood app.

Believe it or not the first Where’s Wally? book was released in the late 80′s, so it’s great to see the franchise being bought into the future ready for the next generation of Wally fans. The app only costs 69p and so far it’s given me hours of fun.

When you start the app, you’re greeted by the bright lights of Hollywood which lead you to the menu screen. There are ten lively and fun levels to complete, each showing a different time, place or scene plus each level comprises of four mini-levels: finding Wally and his friends; spelling the word Hollywood; completing the Wizard’s riddles and finding certain scenes before the time runs out. On each level you also have the ability to find Woof’s dog bones which in turn give you a hint to where a character is – there’s hours and hours of fun to be had with this app.

During each level you use the touchscreen feature of your phone to move around the scene and zoom in and out; but what’s really great is that some of the characters in the scene move, which really helps to bring the game to life and quite often makes you laugh.

As you’d expect some levels are more difficult than others, with the last level having nearly every character looking like Wally (just like you used to get in the book), but the levels are all great fun for all ages which is one the great appeals about Where’s Wally? In Hollywood.

The app is available now in the app store costing only 69p and in my eyes is well worth every single penny.

I use my iPhone a lot for listening to music hey thats one of the main reasons that I bought an iPhone, but the earbuds that come with the unit are not that great, so I am always on the look out for new earbuds for that ultimate listening experience.

The good people over at MobileFun.co.uk sent me over some a-Jays Four earbuds to try out and I have to say that they are really good.

The a-Jays Four come in a great looking packaging, that makes you think right from the off that this is a high end product. To opening the packaging you have to slide the inner tube from the bottom up. You are then  greeted with instruction manual the earbuds and 4 replacement earbud tips ranging from XXS to L.

The unique feature of the Four is that the cables are flat offering a “tangle free” experience.  Now I have used the earbuds for a few weeks and I have to say that this flat “tangle free” cable is in fact tangle free. They have been in my bag, pocket even thrown in my gadget draw and whenever I have pulled them out to use they have been ready, there has been no need to spend the next 10 minutes un tangling them.

The a-Jays Four have a built in remote / mic specially designed to work with the iPhone, iPod and iPad. The remote offers 3 buttons that are easy to use, with the top and bottom buttons being volume up and down and the centre button answering / ending calls and also being used for music controls. Using the mic for talking is good with people on the other end noticing no difference than if you where to hold the iPhone to your ear.

The a-Jays Four have a 8.6mm dynamic driver and a Frequency response of 20Hz to 21kHz. The earbuds offer good kicking bass, while the mids and highs remained strong ad not overpowered by the bass.

Th length of the cord for the Four is 45in (115cm) so plenty long enough to reach from your pocket to ears.

Overall the a-Jays Four have become my earbuds of the moment, whenever I need earbuds these are the ones that I reach for, so a big thanks to MobileFun for sending them over.

Today I’m going to review a Game called Space Inversion 2 HD, which is the old arcade game in the year 1978. It has been created by Silver Line Arts and is available via the AppStore (Paid), Download Here

Once you opened the game and clicked on “Play” you will see 4 Game modes which are a Arcade Mode (Free), Classic Mode (Free), Mega Turbo Mode+ (Paid), and a Bonus Mode (Paid) also you can choose Skins for your rocket, the skins are Retro one (Free), Neton one (Free), Retro one (Paid) , and a Tech one (Paid).

In Controls and the Settings tab you will have the ability to Change the way you control the Space ship, and there is the ability to change the way that the space ship fires, also in there is the Volume and Music to change the loudness of the Game.

The aim of the game is to get a high Score by shooting monsters with your space ship, each time you beat a level it will get harder and harder.

Space inversion 2 HD has the feature to put your high Score to the world on Game Center which will allow Friends to see your Score, also this app has achievements (11 which might change in the feature).

Space inversion 2 hd is a good way to kill of a few hours in your spare time.
