Spirit Ported to iPhone 4 & ios4

Article by on Sunday, 27 June 2010

So this is what we have all been waiting for since iOS4 and the iPhone 4 got released. A jailbreak for the 3GS new Bootrom and iPhone 4 have been found, well not so much found but ported.

That’s right the good people MuscleNerd and Planetbeing have announced that Comex’s Spirit Jailbreak has ported over to work on these 2 devices.

There is no ETA on a release for this Jailbreak and once again it is not a Bootrom exploit (meaning Apple can patch it in their next update) but its a start and what alot of people are waiting for.

This comes at a great time as earlier this week Geohot announced on twitter that he will not be working on another JB, even though he seemed to let the whole world now about his pwned4life JB.

The image posted above is taken from cydia running on an iPhone 4 and is in high-res, at the native iPhone 4 resolution.

One thing is for sure though, it will not be long before it is released so keep your eyes open here for more info.

Here is the tweet that MuscleNerd released ealier…

Congrats to @comex for another userland JB http://is.gd/d5N6I <– hi-res Cydia via @planetbeing & @chpwn iPhone4s

Let us know what you think about this great news in the comments below, I know for one i’m thrilled about it and can’t wait till its released.
