The Story So Far….

Way back in late 2007, a mobile forum called Ku990.co.uk was born. In just a few months tens of thousands of people flooded to this forum seeking advice about their LG Viewty.

After about a year it became apparent that other users where turning up seeking advice about other handsets, so Ku990.co.uk became MyGreatPhone.com, covering all the latest and greatest handsets and providing great news from around the mobile world.

Come late 2009, MyGreatPhone has nearly 100,000 members and still growing. At this time Moderators Nazaroth and Paplip had acquired iPhone’s and had set up their own small site covering news reviews etc. A month later d900man joined them and became an author.

Out of necessity Daz, the owner of the MyGreat Network, decided it was time to give the leading smartphone on the market a place of its own within the network to shine as it should. And so MyGreatiPhone was born.

In less than a month we had a fully functioning blog with upto the minute news, a new forum, downloads section, jailbreak guides, and even a Cydia repository. In December 2009 MyGreatiphone opened its doors to the world.

Since then, we have a thriving repo that has recently exploded with over 70 packages already and more waiting to be added every day. We have a new YouTube channel which saw us get over 20 subscriptions before the first video was even posted! We have users joining the forum everyday, things can only get bigger and better from here on in.

Paplip is one of our best theme developers here at MGiP, among his creations are the iFullBlue theme, iBlack Wood and most recently the MyGreatiPhone theme which was an amazing piece of work. Paplip was the co-founder of nazaroth.co.uk and is still helping me to this day. He writes news, moderates the forums and provides a steady stream of great themes to the repo.
